I ordered samples from a few different places online. It was worth it to be sure what I wanted before ordering a whole bunch (with more shipping charges). Unfortunately I couldn't figure out any alternative to trying them out in my hand, and none of the big-box stores near me had the styles I really wanted to try. I used topknobs.com and their samples are not free -- they charge $5 each for shipping -- but they do provide a credit toward a bigger order.

Yes a plumber could work with the off set drain sink with the drain hole on the right side and cabinet on the left. However, it currently appears to not be vented properly and that creates the S trap that was warned against. The drum trap will keep you safe from sewer gases for now, so it is not a huge issue to fix immediately but when remodeling they need to vent it correctly and get rid of the drum trap too. A knowledgeable webpage I found about drum traps discussing why they were used and why they are now not allowed. http://blog.startribune.com/how-bad-are-drum-traps/203360321/ As far as worrying about the S trap and sewer gases the page says: "In my posts about s-traps and plumbing vents, I explained how proper plumbing vents prevent water from getting siphoned out of traps and why it matters. Water can be siphoned out of a drum trap in the same way it can be siphoned out of a p-trap or s-trap, but drum traps hold so much water that it's pretty much impossible to have enough water siphon out to allow sewer gas in to the home."

benjesbride I marked it up for you on the drawing below. The fan duct goes to the side, and not up. I've noticed that people don't seem to like the OTR microwave here :) But if I put it anywhere else, I'd be losing some of the very little counter space I have, or cabinet space- which I really need. (I cook and bake a LOT, and have a lot of cooking cr@p. Your drawing is awesome! The only thing is, if you're standing at the sink on the wall where it is, there is a huge beautiful almost floor to ceiling window right behind you, which lights everything so nicely. I would hate to move the sink into a tighter/darker space, and then basically have empty space and a laundry closet getting all of that good sunlight! cpartist Done! And attached. The sink can be moved over a bit to one side or the other, but that would require me opening up the wall and moving part of the drain/vent into the next bay- which is a pain in the butt, so I left the sink as-is. (I was going to center the sink on that wall) The appliances can pretty much be moved anywhere, so we did move those.

you haven't done anything bad to your kitchen; it's fine you did something to your house though: you didn't consider your flooring when choosing a stone for the countertops. The countertops are cool(and backsplash too); the flooring is very warm next to them here lies the main problem as I see it wall paint, you need to change it, of course. yet it's much easier but. I do believe. That wall paint can be found. That will go more or less with both your kitchen, new Quartz and all, and your flooring. I'd go on a site like Pinterest (which I prefer to Houzz because one can see and save things that are not about decor only..nature, city, art, movie sets, birds, flowers, people, photography, you name it..can be interiors too of course, but one's not limited by interiors, as their inspirations) and I'll try and find pictures.,of whatever it might be..that contain your colors. And see what else is in them. and how they work together. and whether can be translated to your space. My intuition tells me some whites...or blues..I'd say warmer blues but your backsplash is in a way here, frankly. You can decide to change it, will be a bit easier to find the color of paint, but it'sa hassle and cost of course. Say you find such paint. Will be a process of trial and error. which it often is. Then you use furnishings or/and accessories to tie things even more. You style. Lots of things can be taken care of with styling. You repeat cerain colors, you carry them to other spaces, different proportions..can be fabrics, finishes, many things. I love your art, your ostrich eggs..something tells me they are hiding these hints, these clues within...they're very inspirational. Don't forget them when you look for your inspiration, that's what I'm trying to say. Do check Laurel Bern's blog as suggested..hers is one of the very few(two or three max) where I went and read all archives. Took me a weekend with each, but it was a fascinating weekend each time.
