Well, I'll tell you what I did. I have the 30" Shaw sink and I got the 11" Rohl faucet. In my previous home, I had a HUGE American Standard double bowl sink and an extremely long faucet. It was 14 inches. Since I was already used to such a long faucet, I figured I better go with the 11" for my Shaw. I think it is a smidge long, but I think the 9" might have been a little short for my taste. I like the 11 incher cause I can have it just where I want it when cleaning large pots and pans. But, I do find myself having to move it around alot other times when I am using the sink to get it out of my way.

This probably doesn't help you much. Hope others will chime in as I never really like to influence people one way or another on such an important decision. Your take on all this could be completely different from mine. As I said, I got the 11" mostly because I had used a very long faucet for so many years previously.

I'm happy with my 9" Cifial faucet and my 3018 Shaw's. I definitely need the side spray to get to the right side of the sink but I'd need that with a 2" longer faucet also. Splashing is not an issue. I stayed away from a high gooseneck because I thought it looked ugly in front of my window. Here's a pic, if this helps:

Why did you think a gooseneck faucet looked ugly in front of your window?? Was it b/c the window comes down to counter level?

The bottom of my window is probably about a foot above counter level b/c I can't afford to get a new one right now. Budget is already getting out of hand b/c of structural 'old house' kind of things... I would love to have a nice big window there instead, but something's gotta give! :) I would love to hear more thoughts on why the gooseneck didn't look appealing to you though, so I can better evaluate how it may look in our set up...

Any other thoughts out there from other members on the vinnata and the rohl reach questions I proposed above??

Pbrisjar posted a pic of a very high gooseneck faucet (Ladylux type, IIRC) commenting on how it was basically a window obstruction. At that time I was on the fence between Kohler high gooseneck (Revival?) and Cifial, and her pic kinda made up my mind for me. Sometimes when I read a post, I find myself nodding my head and thinking, 'ya know, she's right, I never could articulate it but she's nailed it!'

Also, I understand the practical aspect of the pullout/down in the faucet but they always look chunky to me. I wanted a faucet with graceful lines, which to me is a narrower neck and separate side spray. Perhaps it's a bit less practical but I'm used to the side spray.

The only complaint I have, which is mild, is that when I wash my hands and they're dripping, I turn off the water and water drips on to the granite. If I don't wipe it up right away I end up with water spots. You can see them in my pic between cold water and side spray. My granite is waterproof, that's not the issue, it's just wanting the granite to be pretty at all times :) Someone installed a handled faucet very close to the edge of the sink and rotated the handles so that your hands hover over the sink at all times, but I didn't see that idea until after installation. I love the look of wall mount faucets and would have considered that if I'd had the right set up.

So there's TMI on my faucet! I really like its looks and, so far, its performance.

I don't think the Vinnata is window obstruction. Here's ours (if you haven't already seen it!)...but not with a Shaw sink.

Oh and BlueKitObsessed...I have the same problem w/dripping hands & spots on my granite...I don't think it matters what type of faucet you have (unless your faucet & handles are in the sink!)
