Light, Medium or Dark Grey Table Base?

DH is on his way to the shop right at this moment w/ my DR table bases that I wanted to paint grey. It was a last minute decision on his part so I wasn't prepared when he brought my fandeck to me and told me to pick a shade of grey.

Here's the table (I found it in my alley on trash day months ago):

I'm basically leaving the top as is but cleaned up.

The DR walls are BM Ashwood w/ 1 black chalkboard wall that I am currently working on. There is a mix of wood finishes light to dark. The DR chairs are a dark shield back chairs and I am recovering the seats in a white/ off-white fabric.

I told him something along the lines of SW Requisite Gray. Should I antique/ age the base too? Would you go lighter or darker than medium grey for the base?

DH suggested painting the feet silver but I thought that leaving them the aged dark brass would be better? What do you think?
