Oh the elusive perfect "off white not too pink or too yellow" ha ha ha I was in the search forever! Let me see if I can post my cabinet finish and see what you think. Ive never posted pics on here yet, so please bear with me. If you like it, I'll find out what it is from my cabinet maker.

Hey mrsandrews, those are beautiful cabinets! Nice color. As someone else in search of the elusive perfect offwhite for cabinets, I'd love to know the color as well.

My painter suggested the color "frost" from kelley moore.
I really like it. It is not yellow and definatley not pink, just a slightly creamy white.

Yes, Mrsandrews, what is your paint color? And ging that is a lovely kitchen! I'll check out Frost. Actually, the Muralo paint I tried today is really nice. A grayed down white with yellow undertones but not bright "yellow" the way other read.

I still don't get white painted wood, but you might want to look at a shade called 'bermuda sand' from valspar at Lowe's. Really loving this shade, a warm ivory white. Definetly more yellow than pink.

I don't have white cabinets but the walls of my kitchen are BM White Vanilla - it is a warm off-white (definite yellow undertone) and I love it. Don't know if that would be too creamy for you if you are looking for more of a true pure white.

The backsplash is 3x6 subway pillowtop travertine. I got it locally, bay area, and it is Robert Andrews. I really love it.

In my old kitchen we had painted cabinets and the color was really nice. It was BM Mayonnaise (and looked very much like the color of Mayonnaise). They were easy to live with.

Our cabinets were from Cabico and the color is called Cabico Cream. But it is an exact match of Sherwin Williams 6378 - Crisp Linen. I also think the color of the walls makes a ton of difference in how white or yellow the cabinets appear. For reference my walls are SW Jersey Cream.

If you are looking for a warmer white/off white, then perhaps you would like our color? They just installed the bottom cabinets and I do not have a photo yet. We're not living in the house while they work on the kitchen... I'll take a picture this weekend.

Anyway, the color is: Benjamin Moore OC-102 Devon Cream

The only trouble I'm having now is finding a warm white subway tile to go with it!! All the basic subway tiles I've come across are either too green, grey or yellow next to the cabinet color.

If you like a warm palette, the Devon Cream is a good color for you. It is NOT pinky, just 'warm'. :)

I dont have a photo, but we used Bavarian Cream, a Ben Moore color.......It is a very light creamy white with yellow undertones......I liked it so well in my butlers pantry that I used it on much of the molding and baseboards throughout the house....

Marita, code in our county requires low-E glass in our windows, which gives a dingey green cast to everything, so I'm weighing in just in case you might have that problem. To combat the green dinge and end up with a warm white and cream kitchen, we used SW Creamy, 7012, on our walls with the woodwork and cabinetry cut, I think, half and half with white. At certain times of the day the walls look slightly yellowish, but most of the time cream, and the woodwork just a warm white.

I used Sherwin Williams "Glass of Milk" (it's from the Martha Stewart color collection) - it is precisely the color of unwhipped heavy cream. We love it!

mrsandrews - I'd also like to know the color of yours. Most of what I see is not as off-white as what I'm looking for, but yours are.

BM Mayonnaise.

We chose Benjamin Moore "Lemon Chiffon" in oil-base semi-gloss. Nice understated creamy color, looks fantastic with soapstone. The painters have been spraying our endless cabinet run for 2 weeks and they're still not done! (Poor guys.)

msrose-My granite is called crema toscana. It is really beautiful. I went to about 15 granite yards and found this. I haven't seen it anywhere else, but if it was they have so many different names for the same type of granite it would probably go by something else.

My cabinet maker said he custom blended this cream color but if I take it to a paint store and have it matched they will give me the formula and I'll post it as soon as I can. The glaze is from Warehouse paints and is called walnut. HTH

I finally made my decision this weekend: Duron/Sherwin Williams Almond White is the winner. I took my color chart to Lowes and several of their cabinet lines had "exactly" that color as their creamy off-white selection (ie. Kraftmaid or Thomasville "Cashmere")--which is what I would choose if I were buying white cabinets. My local BM store will match it; my painter is using BM Satin Impervo.

Here's a vote for Benjamin Moore "Lambskin."

The wife and I fell in love with Wood-Mode's Artic White. Then we heard how expensive the cabinets are - nonstarter. Does anyone know of another cabinet manifacturer or paint color that comes close?

Marita, I can't find Almond White at Duron/SW. Can you double check the name and number of the paint as I am searching for cabinet paint color also? Thanks.

We painted the cabinets in our last house this nice warm white (Navajo from BM):

Nskylark, a good friend of mine has your exact combo, Crisp Linen and Jersey Cream by SW. I love it so much, that's what I'm going to do, too. I asked her if she minded if I imitated her, and she came back with that old quotation, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Anyway, yours look as good as hers! Easy in my mind over my decision.

pluckymom, I did end up using SW Almond White. It is no longer made by SW, but I called several stores in my area and one SW store had the formula still on the computer and made up a quart for me to try. Then my painter matched it with the paint he used, BM Satin Impervo. The results are stunning: I'll post a photo soon. Although the paint has clear yellowish tones, the result is a smooth, lovely ivory color. The inspiration came from Jen4268's beautiful kitchen in the "Update Pics of Cream Traditional Kitchen" thread. I also used ging's Target pulls in this thread and they are gorgeous (and relatively inexpensive!). Now I'm dithering about the next step: new countertops. As you can see, I'm going slowly, step by step. I hope this helps. I'd be happy to post the SW formula for Almond White if you want: I think it is on the can.
