We are remodeling and gutting our master bath. There is not enough room for a drop in tub with a deck mount for our shower door to open and close. We are forced to chose a free standing tub instead. I am looking for an ORB telephone set that comes in a PVD finish for care and durability. This has been a very frustrating search. The local plumbing stores have been a dead end. The sales people here have given us wrong information or have poor customer service. We have chosen dark lighting fixtures and I am at my wit's end in trying to find plumbing with a telephone set to match. Does anybody know of a mid to high end plumbing company that manufactures a telephone set in an ORB with a PVD finish? I have looked at Hansgrohe, Rohl, California Faucets, Rubinet, Newport Brass, Kohler, Delta (Brizo) and Moen (Showcase). What other plumbing manufactures would be included in the mid to high end range? I have already spent alot of time and money with a designer on tile, cabinets and lighting selections only to find out companies aren't making a ORB telephone set in a PVD finish. I would have to change my lighting selection to match brushed nickel plumbing but I am have trouble finding enough silver finished lighting to fit my bathroom. Lighting with a dark finish is what seems to be in style. Living finshes for my plumbing are my last resort. I might also post this in the bathroom section. Thanks in advance. I think matching the counter would be good in your situation. Don't get a really cheap one is all I can advise. They FEEL cheap. I have an Insinkerator (feels like metal!) and it has an extra outlet in the box thingy under the sink which is kinda nice to have but probably not really very important if you're not having all sorts of items plugged in under there. DW and disposal should be all since you have no instahot and won't be charging your cell phone down there.

We have a hammered copper sink in our bathroom and I hunted for hours and hours, days and days, non-stop for a faucet that seemed right.... and it's not even in a prominent place like a kitchen... so I can imagine your angst. (I read an article about "Champagne problems".... oops, OT :~)) While my preferred metal for faucets is nickel, it just didn't make me go "ahhhhh" next to the copper sink. It worked, but something wasn't quite right. ORB looked great colour-wise, but the finishes on the ones I saw looked fake somehow. Then, in the final hour, I stumbled upon a "Cifial" faucet (very hard to find here in Canada) and their ORB (called "Weathered") cast brass faucet is gorgeous next to the sink! In real life, there's a beautifully subtle/warm/natural glow along some of the edges of the detailing. I'm not trying to change your mind as I really do LOVE nickel, but just wanted bring in another perspective. Good luck! Your sink & faucet are both gorgeous! ~ sb Btw, we're just beginning a kitchen reno and are considering a granite called "Brown Suede" because it does what I think you're trying to do --- tie together warm copper with other cooler metals. We're trying to blend the character of our rustic 1854 house with some of our more modern tastes --- warm cherry shaker-style cabinets with cooler pro-line stainless appliances. I think i'd go with stainless for the sink and faucets given you have stainless appliances. Chrome, or variations of it, has been a classic kitchen item going back to the turn of the last century. ORB, it's pretty (I have it in my chocolate bathroom) but not as timeless. I personally like a kitchen to be as timeless as possible (sure everything is dated, but you might get a few more years out of it).
