Lighting advice, what would you do?

We are having trouble with our lighting. We bought this ceiling fan

months ago along with a matching rounded light fixture for the other end of the room. The ceiling fan came in with the lower globe broken. Since then we've received 2 replacement globes, both of which have arrived broken. DH is asking me if we should return the fan and find something else or take a change on another replacement globe. The issue is we've already mounted and been using the matching light fixture so I'm tied to this ORB color and rounded retro style. I haven't been able to find another fan for less than $300 (which is my price limit) that I like as much as this one.

I guess what I'm asking is would you take a chance on actually getting a globe in one piece given the company's history or would you look for a replacement? I'm also wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a replacement fan that perhaps I haven't already seen.

Thanks for your opinions.
