All you need is one that isn't broken, and if I were you, I'd just keep on making them send them until you get one that works. That way you get the light you want in the end that is in your budget and you don't have to spend your time looking for something that you like as much. There's no harm to you in making them keep on sending them, just a little delay in having it finished, but you'll get what you want in the end.

I would keep trying. I ordered 2 bath vanity lights from amazon, and both had broken glass shades (2 from 1 light, and 1 from the other!). I had just enough from the 2 lights to make 1 whole light, and returned the other to Amazon, and they sent another light out. Luckily, all 3 shades were fine from the replacement. Keep hounding them, especially since it's already installed!

BTW, gorgeous fan! Makes me want to get one too, but now I'm hesitating because of your broken glass issues. Good luck!

I would just look for a globe locally. You've gotten a good deal on the fan whether or not you receive a non broken globe, find something locally that works for you. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't stop trying to get a replacement from the sellers, just that it doesn't sound as though they understand how to package glass and it doesn't hurt to have a spare.

When the globe arrives, is there any damage to the outer packaging? Maybe they need to use a different shipping company. I would keep trying.

The thing about the globe is it is an unusual shape which is what 'makes' the fan. I agree they may need to try a different shipping company, but there is not any visible damage to the box. Everything seems in good order. The globe is double boxed with one layer of bubble wrap between the boxes, but when you open the inner box there is one lone sheet of bubble wrap loosely wrapped around the globe which is clearly not enough to protect the globe. The box rattled when DH picked it up.
