Granite counters round or square inside corner
Comments (35)I am a fabricator. If you had a sharp inside corner you would have to accept the risk of a crack developing there. Sharp inside corners create a "stress riser" that makes it much easier for a crack to start. This is why the various Quartz manufacturers have a minimum radius specification. It is something a salesperson should have covered with you. If you were to insist on sharp corners it can be done for the countertops by adding a seam. In your drawing the large "L" pieces could have had a sharp inside corner by seaming it differently. However, to match it on the smaller "L" would require a 2nd seam. For the sink there is not a similar option....See MoreHelp with zero radius sink and quartz countertops.
Comments (15)I see now what you did (sorry if I that sounded insulting as I didn't' realize it was a retrofit into an existing countertop) Then that makes sense as there isn't much you could do if they didn't want to pay for it. Mine is a new sink and new countertop so I was hoping for a better match. As others have said, 3/8th is close enough to zero so I'll probably be fine. With the negative reveal I think it won't be as noticeable however I wish they could have made the negative reveal 1/8 vs 1/4....See Morecountertops are in!
Comments (23)James: You need to get your duplex receptacles in your bar backsplash before you apply any covering. I'd get a signed warranty from your estone fabricator. Your countertop inside corner radii appear to be nonexistent, [prone to cracking,[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/cambia-countertop-inside-corner-radius-dsvw-vd~2671463) and are probably excluded from the manufacturer's warranty because of fabricator error. Don't panic; nothing may ever happen, however, if it does, you want the issue resolved, on paper at least....See MoreFabricator rounded corners on eased edge counters
Comments (26)nidnay it is crazy. Just from reading on this site what others had gone through I wanted to make sure I got what I envisioned. I went with pictures and the granite guy showed me a sample of what their eased edge would look like and it looked like what I wanted so we were good there. I said I wanted inside corners that were 90 degrees and outside corners that were 90 degree but slightly eased. Gave them pictures. I hoped for the best. Not much else I could do to express what my vision was. Luckily it turned out how I envisioned it would look. But you are right even with pictures sometimes things are interpreted differently....See MoreTakkone
