Suggestions for cabinet hardware and paint

Hi,

I had posted questions about granite, backsplash etc in the past and folks in this forum were extremely helpful with your suggestions. Thanks a lot!!! Now it is time for some nitty, gritty details. We have maple toffee glaze cabinets, light colored tile floor(more of light coffee color), Giallo Veneziano granite stone(both CT and full backsplash), swanstone black color granite sink, SS faucet,

SS appliances. There are tons of options for cabinet hardware and we have no idea what to select. Is there any brand/finish/color that you think would go well for this kitchen? We saw some great deals for satin nickel/venetian bronze finish knobs and pulls but not sure how it will look with the entire setup. Can you pls suggest some cabinet hardware in the low to mid price range? Also, we are thinking of a slightly darker yellow color paint(more towards mustard) for the kitchen. Do you think this would work for this combination? Any other colors you can suggest? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice. You guys are great!!!

Oh, I like Lukkiirish's pulls! They look great. You're right about the chrome, but I think it's the shininess that doesn't go with the cabinet finish more than the color. ORB should be fine, but you don't want your husband to think your new house looks weird. Maple itself has a pinky cast to it, and that comes through even in your stained ones. That's why a warm bronze tone looks good. But contrast is good too! Have you tried brushed nickel? Don't worry about the faucet. It has enough pride of place to stand on its own.

Trina, I don't think I would like gray on the walls with your cabinet color. You have a warm color kitchen and I think the gray would clash. Also, is there green in the countertop? It looks blue on my monitor. While green would look knice with your cabs, be careful about the countertops. I would choose a paint color that cooridinates with your countertop. Is there a gold in there? I can see a color like SW Blonde/BM Desert Tan but not sure if you would want to go in that direction. As far as the cabinet goes, I would paint it to blend in with the walls-just with a different finish(satin with flat on the walls). Do you really want it to stand out? I actually see nothing wrong with the current color either. You could accent with colorful accessories. Hopefully some of these folks here will chime in with some more ideas!

Logcabinkitchen, thanks! The back wall of the backsplash does match the red loft wall. The red wood is actually reclaimed barnwood from a dismantled barn. I don't have any pictures posted on here but I can post a link to the photo bucket album. I'm considering doing the exact same "facelift" for our kitchen! I kept going back and forth about trying a gray on the lowers to blend in with our walls, but after lots of reading, houzz picture surfing, etc. I've decided that you really can't go wrong with all white! It always brightens up the kitchen and looks like it could make yours feel bigger, too. Plus, there are endless shades of white (recommend semi-gloss for cabinets) paint, so you can choose one that really coordinates well with your counter. As far as hardware- what style is the rest of your home? Do you care/want it to match your appliances and/or sink hardware? Personally, I've really been digging matte black kitchen hardware lately, but I have a feeling that then I'd want to swap out our stainless sink faucet, RO, etc. and I'm trying to keep it cheap!
