24-29 inch hole in base cabinets- what to do

I am remodeling a 1970's kitchen and saving the original cabinets and painting them. My husband build out a gorgeous peninsula and I'm excited by how nice it all looks so far.

The problem is, we moved the dishwasher and now have a big hole in our base cabinets. I was hoping to find a cabinet at Restore but haven't had a chance to get out there yet. It needs to be an old style cabinet to match the existing cabinets. The door style is very standard and I don't think I'll have a problem finding something that matches.

We have a leftover 15 inch cabinet we could use in there, and we were thinking of adding a bookshelf on one side and a small wine rack on the other as an alternative to finding a 24 inch cabinet. Would this look ok? Thoughts, ideas??
