Hmm, do ALL newer, H2O-saving faucets flow poorly?

I'll know more in the morning (Monday) after I talk to the faucet company, but I'm wondering if there's a chance my new fancy modern faucet has lower water-pressure because of the thing inside that prevents wasting water (as so many do these days)? We just got a new water line from the street and a new water heater and flushed the lines, so it's not that sediment's in there. The backflow preventer may not help the problem either but I don't know. I'm very ignorant when it comes to the inner workings of faucets as well as plumbing in general.

Anyone have any ideas about this? Do all modern faucets have to save water, so to speak (is it mandatory)? Can these parts be removed (especially considering we're not in draught territory)? Is there a simple way to time the filling up of a e.g. a quart of water to determine whether it's flowing quickly enough or something like that?!

Thanks. Always, many, many thanks!!! :)
