Please show me your pulls/knobs on your natural cherry cabinets
Comments (20)Hi Everyone, Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and show us your beautiful kitchens. Leela-which knobs/pulls did you from RH? Love your soapstone countertop. Anthomeinva- Will look at the Dakota knobs. I see you have beautiful soapstone, too. Badgergal-We hadn't heard of Hickory Hardware and will investigate; beautiful cabinets. Prospect-Looks like you have soapstone countertops, too. We love your floor. Enduring-Love your backsplash; what material did you use? Sloane-We think your photos convinced us to select satin/brushed nickel. Lovely view! Labbie-We will look at Top Knobs web site - beautiful kitchen Mayflowers-the ORB does not look dated and is a nice choice for you kitchen-especially with the lighter floor and counters. Thank you all again for taking the time to post photos of your beautiful kitchens and share information. As you may have noted I wanted soapstone (not so much DH). We did not choose soapstone because I was scared off by the discussions about softness. I still LOVE the way it looks, especially with natural cherry. Comments (35)Okak, Thanks. My cabinets were custom built and the quality turned out to be fantastic. I don't know where you live, but I am in Florida and used Roger Romero (Roger's Cabinets). His phone number is (954) 584-9876. He is truly a master craftsman who takes pride in his work and customer service. It took him 12 weeks to build it all by hand and custom stain it, layering on coat by coat until we found just the right one for us. His price was not more than any other kitchen place who orders cabinets from manufacturers like Thomasville, etc. I wish other Floridians come across this post and give him a call. You won't be sorry. Tell him Susan from Coral Springs sent you!...See MoreShow me your Giallo Napoleon granite countertops
Comments (17)Hi Nursetammi, I went to check out some granite slabs on Friday and decided on the New Venetian Gold. I loved the slabs. It has lots of garnet specks in it which looks good with my cabinets. It also has black in it to tie in with the black island I'm going to get made. It was very confusing because they didn't have Giallo Napoleon and the New Venetian Gold sample that I received from another granite place looked nothing like the New Venetian Gold that I picked out. I would have thought maybe it could have passed for Santa Cecilia, but they had that color there and it wasn't the same as the sample that I received either. I'm glad I wasn't set on one color. Lesson learned is that the color you pick might not be the color you think it is at the warehouse. The guy at the warehouse showed me some other New Venetian Gold slabs that were from a different lot than the one that I picked and it looked way different. It wasn't as gold and it had more grey. Anyway, I'm probably about a month away from getting my granite because the kitchen island is currently being made. I will post pictures when I'm done. Please post pictures of your project when you are done -- I'd love to see it. Good luck!...See MoreShow me your BM Camouflage kitchen, esp with Oak cabinets!
Comments (11)blakey - not it's not. It is Danby Vermont Marble. I found it at Dente in NJ and I absolutely love it! I could show you pictures of disappointing Calacutta Gold marble that we bought, at tremendous expense, for our master bath. The slabs were very white with a LOT of gray and barely any of the gold color my husband so loved in the sample. We had to keep buying a ton of the floor tiles to try to get the whitest tiles we could, so they would look right with the slab couters and sills. In hindsight, I don't think my husband would have gone for the Calacutta Gold marble, knowing what he knows today. About my marble top - I had "final" cleaners in (that I hired at great personal expense since my GC's cleaners were pathetic) yesterday, the day before our scheduled move. Four people cleaned for 7 hours in my kitchen, removing all drawers, cleaning inside the cabinet boxes, inside all the filthy brand new appliances inside and out, etc. They were almost done when my GC had the fabricator's workmen in to my kitchen to grind out the long, curved gouge one of his workers put in my island top! This, after I left specific and sternly worded instructions that my marble top was to be REMOVED because I did not want marble dust all over the kitchen after the cleaners were here. They ground the top. I walked in after 15 minutes and started screaming and cursing at anyone in sight! We were not able to move in today. My top looks like you-know-what. I am not ever speaking to my GC again; he has to go through my husband for EVERYTHING now, because my breath is wasted on him since he clearly doesn't listen to me. I'm so angry I could (and did, many times) cry! (Grrrrrr.)...See Moreiamnodiy
