If I was perhaps a little smarter... I'd be worried about how it will all come together! But... I always have faith that things work out. I'm choosing what I love, which like me is a mix; and HOPEFULLY, I'll end up with a space that reflects a little bit of all the things that appeal to me. If nothing else, the each piece in the kitchen will remind me of a story. I love the notion that I'd have a place for each mood of part of all the different things I love. Really, the only "odd" piece is the bakers table cause I'm not much of an antique person but I just think the piece is so cool and I had so much fun refinishing it. I appreciate the faith you have in how it's going to turn out morton!

And for anyone who is newer here, the orhpan bakers table I refinished. I'll top it with marble when we get closer to slab time. (that will no doubt be my favorite part!)

Love the stools! Isn't Craigslist great? You sound a lot like myself! Bought my R/F from there, already bought the oven, trying to find the farm table, got lots of neat mismatch of things to go in, but the kitchen is nowhere! Can't let the good deals slip by however!!!

It will all come together, you will love your kitchen when you love what's in it, and that IMHO is all that matters! I love your bakers table, I have an old kitchen cabinet in my kitchen now, and plan on refinishing it to find a place in the new kitchen. But, your bakers table is probably a lot more functional! A marble top will be magnificent.

And, look at the date! The end of June will be here in no time!

I didn't realize when I picked them up yesterday but they swivel also... ahhh... the little things that make us happy. Judy, I'm glad to hear that I have any kind of sense at all! It's ironic, I've tried to define my style sense and I just can't. My bedroom set is somewhat French Country (white a bit distressed with beadboard, latches, and cup pulls), my living is gray leather sofa and love seat, and the rest you see... a mix. I love marble, soapstone, granite with movement, end grain wood, and glass tile. If you can figure out a name of all that please let me know.

OOOOOOOhhhh - you go girl! The stools are wonderful, but I so very much love your baker's table. My dh now wants one. Can I ask what paint color it is? It appears to be a type of green-intense duck egg blue.

Beautiful bar stools. They look like something out of an Ernest Hemingway novel. I was just wondering about your bakers' cabinet and how it was coming. I love that thing!

hestia... it's a mix. I went back to SW 4 times cause I wasn't happy with the color. "add a bit more gray, more green, ... etc". The closest color I think may be the Halycon Green. Of course that meant I had to re-strip 5 different times.

I think the bar stools have a West Indies vibe.

Your kitchen is going to be so great and so unique. I can't wait to see it all together. The stools are beautiful and they even look comfortable!

You probably did and I just missed it. With my current chaotic life I've not been spending as much time here as before.

Those are nice, clean, simple pulls that will look great with that table.
