I am assuming they are offering a SS drawer system like the Blum Intivo.. This is what I know about the drawer systems: Bottoms of the drawers will be 5/8" thick, instead of 1/4" or 3/8" in a wood drawer If is is Blum it has a lifetime warranty, well the sides and slides of the drawer have a lifetime warranty... Using the drawer system you are limited in heights, with Blum you will have 2 3/4" depth from the top of the SS side to the top of the drawer bottom. For a deep drawer they offer a galley rod system or something called a "boxside"....using a boxside you will have a inside depth of 7 13/16, the boxside is a piece of stainless that snaps on top of the SS side to give you the depth. Be aware that if they are offering galley rods there will be a "gap" between the top of the side and the galley rod of approx 2" The blum cutlery and utility organizers are great, very easy to adjust and add pieces as needed..and they are DW safe! The organizers for the deep drawers are also very nice, using the boxside there are many dividing options, using galley rods the only option is additional rods to divide the drawer One thing to note, if the KD shows you the blum catalog every drawer interior is perfectly organized and filled with the divider system....that is not always the case with custom cabinets, the pictures and the system is based on euro sized boxes I love the SS drawers, but only when they have the boxsides in the deep drawer....that is what I would ask them about if it were me

Usually restaurants either buy stainless steel tables, or get them custom made. Locally in Vancouver, BC, there is Quest Metal works. So try looking or asking your local restaurant supply store or asking your local restaurant. Note that there are multiple grades, types and thicknesses for stainless. Get the thicker stuff (the lower the guage number, the thicker the stainless). Here is a link that might be useful: Quest Metal works.

I'm glad our relatively new white fridge has white-painted metal handles, not white plastic handles, but I wish it had come with chrome handles. My much older white oven is only 2 years younger than my dad's white oven but I think it's aged better than my dad's for two reasons. One is that it has very little plastic on it and it's gray (to go with the chrome trim on the oven). The second reason is that the gray plastic has stayed the same color as opposed to the dingy yellow of the aged white plastic on my dad's oven.

Have never regretted the choice of ss for my sinks. I have had higher end sinks, either 16Ga. or 18Ga. and noise has never been an issue. As for scratching and spotting; The scratches are not prominent, haven't even thought of them as scratches until this thread got rolling. I think they are part of the patina of the sink and I never have issues with rust or black marks that can happen on cast iron/porcelain finishes with certain pots and pans. Water spots are not an issue either, the only frustration with water spots is at the base of the faucet resulting from drips off of my hand when operating the handle. My sinks have always had a brushed finish and this would explain why routine scuffs or scratches are not visible or objectionable to me. I would guess that a high polish ss sink ie a Franke that I have seen would be very problematic for scratching. No middle ground on sinks it seems, one is either a cast iron/silgranite enthusiast or a ss enthusiast. I am in the ss camp and always have been. Ciao
