I'm not sure what the rules are, but I've always lived with the theory of if you like it than it works. I actually bought an ORB faucet and a stainless sink. My hardware is ORB and my appliances stainless w/ black details(knobs, handles)

I call my style eclectic. I have 1930's colonial revival dining room furniture and very modern Murano glass sculptural pieces. I do a lot of entertaining and people always tell me they love my home and how I've decorated, so I say if that's what you like than go for it.

I'd have to see it. I am not able to picture it well in my head. I think what I've seen in the main with the ORB faucets, are biscuit or white sinks, with an occasional copper basin thrown in just for good measure.

What material/color is your countertop? Depending on the counter... a anthraite color Silgranite sink would look nice with ORB. If you have a lighter countertop, I would think a biscuit color.

I think that if your countertop ties the colors together it should look great--Also, it is your personal style preference. Here's a pic of ss color with a dark copper sink so you can get a sense of how the color combination looks:

Our builder just showed us a house he was finishing that had a SS sink and a oil bronzed faucet. The Builder thought it was absolutely the best design he had seen while both DH and I thought it looked like an after thought and was horrid. Lesson? It depends on what you like.

the pic above is a nickle faucet which is warmer in tone than stainless. personally..i wouldn't consider it. i think it will look like a big decorating mistake :o(

I just saw a Spice Up My Kitchen episode this week where the designer mixed the ORB faucet with a single SS sink. I thought of this thread. It looked just fine, but I probably still wouldn't do it. I really like the contrast of the bronze with a creamy looking sink.
