Another MW question, does it have to be in the fridge/stove area?

Does anyone have their microwave separate from their cooking area? Is it a big no-no?

We are creating an L-shaped layout, with the fridge and the stove on one "leg", a prep sink and the 2nd oven in the island directly across, and the main sink and a dishwasher on the other "leg".

The plan also has a Sharp MW drawer next to the fridge.

There is a small breakfast area located next to the dishwasher with an undercounter fridge, bread and toaster. I am thinking of putting the microwave there too which would move it away from the cooking area.

I don't cook in a MW (actually don't have one now) and would rather have more storage next to the stove. But would that look strange? Also, is that too inconvinient for heating up refrigerated foods or would a few extra steps be ok?
