Delta faucet choice: Ashton, Allora or Pilar?
Comments (17)Thank you very much for all responses above. mabeldingeldine, I don't know if the switch problem happens only to your specific Ashton faucet or all Ashton faucets are like this. jw34, your pilar faucet looks beautiful. Yes, it's the best if the sensor works. I saw some reviews on amazon and lowes complained that the sensor did not work properly. Mydreamhome and sas95, thank you for your information about allora, it does stand out compared to others. I kind of don't like the appearance of the matching soap dispenser. pdxkit, is Addison similar to Ashton? Is it also available at local lowes? I cannot see your comparison table. Co-co, thank you for your picture. You faucet looks nice....See MoreTapmaster vs. motion activate faucet
Comments (10)I've had a TM and liked it so I'm biased in favor of something I know works. I haven't tried the others so they frighten me. :) Mechanically the TM is simple. There's not much to fail and if it does fail, you can probably figure out what it is. No electronics. You can use the TM with any faucet, pretty ones or modern ones or ugly ones or cheap ones you pick up on the curb. So for appearances, it's a lot easier to find something that matches your kitchen if you can purchase the faucet separately from the mechanism. I'd be worried that a motion detecting faucet would be as annoying as the ones in public restrooms and that with all the odd motions that go on under a kitchen faucet, it might not read my mind correctly. I'm probably totally wrong on this and will follow this thread to see how these newer devices are working out in kitchens....See Morejustifying Tapmaster instead of a touch-on faucet
Comments (47)Has anyone used the Euro model yet? If so, how is it? The TapMaster site says you can push the lever in any direction...left, right, push in, pull out...and it will work. You're only limited to left/right if you want to lock it "on". Now that I finally installed my NeverMTs, I'm ready to tackle the TapMaster battle ($296 @ Conservastore)...I want one for my prep sink, at least. (I suspect once my DH sees how nice it is to use he'll want one on the cleanup sink as well...) So, any input on the Euro style is welcome! (The cabinet door one is out since I sometimes lean on the sink cabinet doors w/my knees while working at the sink.)...See MoreDelta Pilar Faucet (Touch2O)
Comments (3)It looks very similiar to the Brizo Pascal, except that the Pascal has a motion sensor as well, so you can opt not to touch it. Of course Pascal's price reflects the extra mode. To me, having to touch the Pilar defeats the purpose of wanting a hands-free option like you would get with a Tapmaster or the Pascal. Seeing as Brizo is Delta's high-end line, it doesn't surprise me that they would offer a pared down version under the Delta brand....See Morekateskouros
