I had no idea leathered granite had texture... I always assumed it just meant matte finish. That looks really neat.

You must be so relieved to see that sink sitting inside that sink base. Your GC was true to his word about being able to make it fit --- it looks perfect. Quite a roller-coaster week for you, but worth it to see it all come together so nicely. Very pretty!

Beautiful. One of my first and favorite kitchens on this site used a leathered black granite - poster was norcalnancy. Beautiful look!

Thanks guys. Honestly, I am so happy with how things look so far. I really am happy with my choices.

I have to say, I don't actually know the name of the granite. The place we got it from used numbers and not names. And when I asked them about getting "honed" granite (I was pretty sure I didn't want "regular" polished granite) they gave me a price on honing, but also showed me a few granite that they said "came" leathered. Not sure what that means, but I am sure I really liked the look!!

And, yes, the one particular outlet that was right in the way of our peninsula overhang was moved. The wall definitely needs some spackle and paint at this point. Tomorrow I think I'm getting my french doors, and hopefully some word on our floor. (I really want that floor!!) And, I also really want my appliances.

Haven't made a backsplash decision yet. Right now I'm leaning back towards the ceramic tile beadboard. Really not sure yet. SQ

Just spent some time chatting with the builder. French doors going in today. He just left to pick-up my floor. That will go in Monday. Appliances on Wednesday. Wow - cross your fingers for me please!! SQ
