Lowe's Portfolio 27' LED Under Cabinet Strips
Comments (7)No we aren't finished installing yet. We have all the lights mounted, but needed some other interconnect items and had to place another order. They are on the way and hopefully will be here by Friday. Then its just a matter of connecting them up. (holes already drilled also) I do have one section of 30" lights (a 24" and 6" joined together) to the left of my range, but that's just about a 1/10 of the project. I am loving that part so far LOL! play with it all the time, dimming etc I leave it on full during the day and dim it at night. Its a nice white light, and makes my light over the range look wimpy. I guess we're not looking at the same lights at Lowe's. What I saw was like $60 for an 18" bar, and I'm paying $40 for 24" bars. BUT,this price is not their advertised price. They did discount them to match the price on another website....See MoreNicor LED Under-Cabinet Strips

Comments (2)You could look at setups with both cool and warm light before making the decision. Some prefer having both the UCL and room lighting at the same color temp which in most homes is 2700k. On the other hand, linear fluorescent UCL is usually >= 3500k. I went with cool white (~ 3500k) for the UCL since the backsplash color went better with cool white than warm (2700k) and the UCL is used more often than the room lighting. The color reproduction will depend quite a bit on the Color Rendition Index (CRI) of the light used. With hue changing light strips, it is technically possible to have a color temp range from < 2500k to 5000k. Maybe something to think about as a future upgrade?...See MoreWhat brand of under-cabinet LED strip lights do you recommend?
Comments (8)I didn’t do led tape but in my laundry I installed this low profile under cabinet light and really like it. They can be linked together. They are hardwired but you can also order a plug for $10. There’s an on-off switch but I put mine in a wall switch. Also you can direct the light on the unit. And there’s a set here to change from 2700 to 3000 depending on your need and preference. The piece that I’m touching tilts so you can direct the light. The problem I’ve seen with tape light without a shroud is seeing the reflection from the individual diodes. I am going to install WAC tape for above my bathroom cabinets but they are so expensive. I’m still looking for a lower priced option for my shoe cabinet in closet. Too large of a run for the WAC $ Good luck!...See MoreUser
