Scooping corner sink cabinet on frameless cabinets- Pics?
Comments (6)No scooping of a frameless cabinet unless you install a LOT of additional support to take the weight of the heavy counter and heavy sink full of water. And for those corner cabinets that don't go all the way into the corner, you should always make sure that there is a cleat on the wall at the rear to support the weight as well. If you want a large corner sink, then a 42" sink base will just barely accomodate a full sized 33" sink. But only if you push it back further into the cabinet than is normal. Instead of the typical 3-4" inches from the front, you're talking 6"-8" back. That's bad on your back. The other alternative choice when planning a corner sink is to take a regular sink cabinet and install it on the diagonal. That does eat up a bit more space unless you recess the sink cabinet into the corner a bit. I find sinks done that way awkward to use personally....See MoreFrameless cabinets...what are bottom corner cabinet options?
Comments (6)Properly designed frameless cabinets should have no problems with out a pole. I have a super susan in a frameless cabinet. It posed no problems for the cabinet makers or granite installer. It is wonderful storage space, especially since I picked up the idea here on GW of storing things to the sides and even under the susans. Make them take out that pole and supply shelves with susans attached. I suppose the cabinet makers might be skimping on the sides and back, but you should get what you ordered. Storage is so much better with a super susan. Sandra Sandra...See MoreWhat filler strips are required for frameless cabinets?
Comments (4)You don't always need fillers between a cabinet and the wall. It really just depends on how square the wall is. That said, filler can definitely cover up any issues with that. You also don't need filler next to an appliance, unless it's needed to line up upper and lowers for some reason. For instance, the upper run to the right of my range was 39 inches. The lower was 38 inches. We used one inch of filler next to the range to make those two match so that our range hood would be centered perfectly over the range. You should try to minimize filler as much as possible, but can certainly use it in those sort of situations....See MoreFrameless Cabinet recommendations. Any experience with Cuisine Ideale?
Comments (3)See if you have a Plain & Fancy dealer in your area. Their frameless "Medley" line is built VERY well and they use a higher end plywood. You will also get wood veneered interiors if you go with the plywood construction. Truly a beautiful frameless cabinet! They offer two boxes: 1. Standard Melamine Interior 2. Upgraded PLYWOOD with Wood veneer Interior Sorry for the poor quality...photos from my phone....See Morelascatx
