Our sink is not centered under the window, either. Our faucet is configured in a way that is tricky because the faucet's base is "centered" relative to the spout (which is to the left) and the handle (which is attached to the right). It's hard to explain..If you look at the pictures below, you can see what I mean. We had it mounted so that the stream from the spout flows into the drain hole of the sink. Our sink's drain hole is in the center. This faucet placement ended up to the right of center relative to the length (back edge) of the sink. We had the soap dispenser mounted to the left of the faucet to help counter balance the faucet's placement. We are right handed and the soap on the left is no problem at all. As far as the total overall look, I am happy with how things worked out. The fact that the sink & faucet are not in the center of the window does not bother me at all. Have you made any sort of mock up faucet, handle, water filter & air switch? I used a small water bottle with a piece of cardboard taped to it (cut to the approx. size, shape & height of my faucet) to simulate the faucet. You can also make a rough mock up of a water filter with anything around the house. You can put them in various placement scenarios and stand back and see how you like it. If you have the faucet & filter at your home already, then someone can hold them in place for a few minutes while you see if you like it. But, I like the mock up items to be around for a little while (more than a minute) so I can get a better feel for their placement.

Fori - that makes sense. Since I generally use my right hand now, to turn on/off the faucet, I imagine I might just keep doing that. Right now, my handle is on top of the faucet, and it's like that for a lot of the new pull outs I've been looking at, too. Happyallison - I've also been disappointed with the big boxes, though I did recently replace two bathroom faucets & a shower head from the local big boxes, and I've been pleased with those. Mostly, it's the pull functions that haven't worked as they should at the big boxes. Plumbing supply is a super route to check out! Funkycamper - Maybe I'll ask my GC & KD if they have recommendations for plumbing places to check out. My only concern is that they might try to steer me into buying from them, and I'd like more varied options. The place you ended up sounds ideal! You don't know if they have other locations, by chance?

Hi Jan, Thanks for your input. Right now I'm exploring possibilities. The job will be professionally done and precise measurements will be taken. Here are the measurements (clockwise) noting B and C walls are completely tiled and measurements are before tile is removed: A) 117.5" Longest wall (left with vanity) B) 103" Wall with window (top) C) 89.5" Short wall (right) D) 42.5" (shower depth) E) 28" wall behind door Note: on the other side of the wall behind the door is an open stairwell and space is needed for clearance walking upstairs I've measured the fixtures in the showroom and they each lose an inch when installed: Bathtub = 31" x 66" before installation Shower = 42" x 36" before installation (door will open on short side) Toilet space is not an issue. Even with a knee wall there's 33.5" of width and there will be at least 26.5" in front depending where I place it. The space between the shower and bathtub is trickier with only 24.5" of open space. This is the only place in the house where there is a bath and shower and there is no possibility of opening up the space or placing either elsewhere. Right now I have a shower that is too small and a tub that is too big with a dividing wall between them. Linen is not a priority as I have a good sized linen closet in the hallway. This is not our forever home but we plan to stay in it another 13 years.

Symmetry preference is purely personal.
