Paneled DW when cabs are 5/8'' overlay doors

My KD said I am over thinking this. Maybe I am. The cab doors are basically shaker style with a little more decorative edges. As explained, the full panel on the DW is the same as a door (without a frame). It will cover the entire DW. The space between the DW and the adjacent cabinets will look like the frame. I don't understand how the spacing between the DW 'door' and the adjacent cabinet drawers will be believeable. Won't the overlay drawer fronts and the DW door be too close together to look like a real door rather than a DW front? If it looks fake, I may as well get a non-integrated DW. Or not? Would the black or ss break up the run too much? Help, please!!
