I'm a BA girl...but I also loved White Spring (weathered surface) when I was looking. What I loved most about Bianco Antico was the white-white, the taupe and espresso colors in it and the surprise of the cinnamony-speckles and rivers.

Try to see both in person, and just choose the one that sings to you. Good luck!

I loved the delicatus when I saw it in a kitchen showroom. Have you actually viewed both of these granites?? What works best with the rest of your kitchen elements-cabinets, floor, etc. If you post pictures that might help. You could go to the Finished Kitchens Blog, click on categories, then granite and find some kitchens with the two granites you like.

What beekeeperswife said! I have BA too, and we continue to love it after a year and a half. We've used russet tones with it, I've put lots of red with it, and it's wonderful with chocolate brown, gold and black, too. But White Spring was my second choice. Your cabinet color is warm and beautiful. Good luck!!

KA - How did your trip to the granite yard go? Did you find your slab? I agree that Delicatus and BA are cousins, if not siblings. Love the light color and the sparkles in both. Bee - I could look at pics of your kitchen and new backsplash all day long and never be bored. I do like the stingray a lot and was wondering if there might be a color that would look good with BA, as you and DonnaKay both went white and redroze is pretty close to white with her Ann Sacks tile. I need to get a variety of samples, but some of my early ideas will clearly not go with the BA (which I totally love by the way -- it looks fabulous with the cherry. It's far and away the home-run feature so far). Anyway, I'll try to get a sample of the stingray. My paint is silver sage and I think it would go with that too.

Yellowdog2 - I still love the pietra, but it definitely not as durable as the quartzite. I do have a few chips on the face next to the stove (I think it could be from cleaners trying to handle the heavy cast iron grates from the blue star stove) and many tiny chips around the undermount sink (from me during klutzy clean up.) But the chips around the sink seem to soften/slightly wear over time. In retrospect, I may have opted for an apron front sink the was flush or overlay versus undermount on the sides, but maybe not because I didn't want to spend money on that. Additionally, I don't know if the sealer my fabricator used was the right one. Everything wet leaves a dark mark that fades over a few minutes or hours depending on what it is. I kind of like the variation, but I have read that that is a sign that a stone is not sealed well. I just love the color and tone of the stone and do not regret my choice at all. The funny part is I bypassed the soapstone because a friend has a soft variety that has very large chips all around the sink (mine are relatively small.) Lastly, my fabricator has a hard time with the seam, the edges of the pieces were chiped up and they didn't color the adhesive well. They had to do it over again. I don't know if it was a function of a worn tool or that it was more brittle (which is what they told me.) But they were able to rework it and it looks OK, but not great. So it is full disclosure here and I hope I haven't scared you. I just really love how the two stones compliment and do not compete with each other, but don't look matchy either. Good luck :)

It's beautiful!!!! Check out this tile, it was actually one of our favorites until I decided to go the white route. Mandala Tile, Sinu Collection, Color: Stingray. You will not believe how well this works with this granite because it is not a flat color. Seriously, go find it and take a sample of the granite with you, or bring home a piece. This is the only descison that I have made so far. and I mean the ONLY one in our entire house!! And it is currently fully gutted! Anyways, to my vote...I love bianco antico!!! And that is what I will have in my kitchen. It looks great with so many different cabinet colors. And gives you great options for accent colors, blacks, taupe, rust, coppers, and reds, I am sure there are more. Good luck in choosing, they are both really beautiful : )

They are both beautiful in my opinion. My Del.White will be installed on Monday. I didn't see many pictures of it in the FKB, but when I saw it in person I knew it was what I wanted.

However, BA is right up there in beauty. And there are many kitchens that have it on this forum, so you can see for yourself.

As chris45ny said, it's what will look best with your choices. I chose the DW because I wanted a clear contrast between my dark chocolate cabinet and my granite. What is the "look" you are going for?

On it's own without anything else in the room, Bianco Antico wins the beauty contest in my opinion. But, Delicatus is cool looking and edgier with some black and can match the room better if you have those colors. Good luck. Can't go wrong!

@Angie Roth - you are answering an 8 year old post. Also, these two granites are so similar, their names are often interchangeable at stoneyards. It would be better to choose based on the slabs available at your stone yard, not the name.
