Help with online wallpaper search...?

I'm considering putting wallpaper in my dining room.

However!

I would rather put railroad spikes in my eyes than spend time in a wallpaper store, leaving endlessly through sample books.

Does anyone know of any good online wallpaper sources -- with good search engines, where I can narrow my search by style, color, pattern, etc.?

Not sure. This one used to have a great search engine... but it appears to have been revamped. I don't know if it's improved or worse. You might give it a try...

Thanks for all your suggestions. I spend several hours yesterday looking at wallpaper, with no good candidates found. Then after Yogacat mentioned Paper Source, I found some decent candidates on their site. Still nothing like plain gold leaf (with slight variegation like on my cabinet), but much closer than I'd gotten with wallpaper. I found a store near me. I will go check it out in person. I know some art papers are too thin, have a soft finish that will wear or just not be suitable. Fori? Decoupage with what?

HOW MANY ?? times do we fall in love with something out of reach? From what I see here? A lot: !! Before you get too stuck, get a pro paper hanger in there, a really good one. He will estimate his "drops" /cuts....and the rolls you need. Most often priced as single, and sold only in double rolls. Rule? NEVER order any paper without doing this_ I certainly would not. No matter the sticker price. To me, It's a paper that needs a decent ceiling height, if only due to pattern repeat, : )

Thanks all. I am a Realtor. and have been for 15 years.....so I do understand the importance of what's really critical and, as this is my mother's home (she passed away in November) and I'll be listing it, I'm taking extremely good care of the systems, yard, appliances, etc. I'm willing to invest more than the average "flipper or prepper". The comps are extremely good in the area so I'm willing to go over and above to maximize the sale. I'm really just curious if anyone has every used the peel and stick over exisiting wallpaper. I had no intention of paining over the paper. - that's a shortcut I'd never do, especially on my own property and If i paint, I'd remove the paper, have the drywall prepped appropriately and then paint. I just wanted some insght into the peel and stick and see if it was worth a shot! Thanks all!

I've found American Blinds & Wallpaper (which have been cited in the other two posts above) to be a great online source for wallpaper. Their search engine is much better than any of the other online sties.

Another suggestion - give yourself a budget to order samples as you narrow your selection. (For instance, I gave myself a budget of $50 for samples) It's amazing how different something may look in person that on your computer screen. Seeing the actual sample assures that you'll be happy with your final order.
