Hmm. Well, I am usually somewhat in favor of not worrying about mixing metals. But I am not sure in this case what you suggest is advisable, nor that it will fix your "contrast" concerns. I would consider something other than gray on the walls to avoid a completely gray and white color scheme, and would leave the fixtures as you have them.

I just read everything you wrote about mixing metals in a bathroom. My major fixtures; sink, shower, bath, and sconces are all polished chrome. I would like to bring in some warmth from the gold in the shower tile, that will also be used as the countertops for the vanities. Can I use a brass (or gold) mirror with the chromes sconces and change vanity hardware to brass? Please help! Thank you!

Depends on style of the vanity and the shape of the tiles… But I think gold or brass would work nicely.
