I am not very good at advising which will go better with your curtains but I love the pewter one.

ditto on the pewter one! I have a bedroom painted gray with beige carpet. I think it looks fine. My gray is a darker blue/ gray.

Personally, I much prefer the sectional in Pewter. It's beautiful! You can order swatches from Room and Board, and I would highly recommend that before you purchase. I was surprised at the color variations that didn't show up on my monitor when I received swatches from Room and Board. If you need more opinions, take a picture of the swatch with the curtains and the wall color. Also, keep in mind that it's cheaper to replace paint and curtains than a sectional. So if you prefer the Pewter, I'd be more likely to purchase that and change the paint and even the drapes if necessary.

but, i agree with ordering swatches!! you really have to match up the colors in person!! and, if your panels really don't look nice with your favorite sofa color, they can probably be used somewhere else (a bedroom?) since they're so neutral! or if you really like the gray sofa and the panels really don't look the best with it but you don't want to change them out, maybe you could find a nice trim to add to the panels that adds a bit of pizzazz and balances the gray...

When I click on the swatches, pewter is black. Yours looks like the gray swatch on my computer. Be sure you are getting the one you want before ordering :-).

Thanks everyone! Yes, the fabric is different than those sectionals pictured, so the pewter is actually much darker (more of a charcoal) and the otter is less beige and a lot darker. (sorry, if I could figure out how to upload the pics, I would have!)

I think your decision should also be made considering what you have on the floor.....which you haven't mentioned.
I would hate the pewter unless it's a much more saturated color than the one shown.

I couldn't figure out why one of my rooms was so ho-hum. The walls were white, the curtains linen colored, my sofa old and a sort of faded olivey-khaki color and the ceiling was painted basically the same linen color as the curtains.

Well about 2wknds ago I finally knocked out repainting the ceiling and went w/ a definite grey instead of the linen like color it was painted. I stepped back looked at it all and went 'Wow!' that's what the room needed: more depth from more varied colors.

Long story short, the pewter sofa will be perfect!
