Here are three greens from Benjamin Moore that might work for you:

I recently painted my laundry room tansy green, SW, but I don't think that is what you are looking for, but close. However, Behr has a card 390F which might have a color you are looking for. There are several on that card, ranging from olive to apple looking. Another suggestion might be Sage Green or Fennel Green from SW.

Thanks everyone. I am wanting a very bright, very clean, almost yellow green. Like SW Electric Lime or Outrageous green. I am hesitant to try either of those, because of the "electric" feeling you get from them. Think about a granny smith apple. It is clean, no muddy undertones. It is yellow, yet green. Like these rooms.

That photo of the rug is really bad, I see that it looks like it is earthier greens, but it is really bright, lime greens.

Well, I'll throw out the green I used in my Laundryroom. It's a nice clear, bright green without being obnoxious & is called Grasscloth by Behr. I've enjoyed it & this room gets plenty of light since there is a window in there. I know how greens can be to find the perfect one!

How about Valspar's Tropic Green, or Thornapple?

georgiagal that is pretty close. mclarke the Thornapple and Tropic green is it, I think. I will go to Lowe's and see it in person. Any pictures of this painted anywhere?

I am having the hardest time looking at all these colors online. I go to the various paint company sites, but each one is different. Some of them don't even have a search box that you can put the name of the color into to find it. I like SW color visualizer. The rest don't seem friendly to me. Does anyone have all the links that take you to the right page on each company site so you can find a color quickly?

Try this one. It's a little clunky, but it has all the colors of all the major paint companies.

The search engine works pretty well.

I have been searching and searching for that "perfect" green color too-apple or lime. It's made even harder due to the fact that I do not like green. I'm trying to be conservative in the total number of colors of paint in my home. So, I needed a green that would work for a teenage boy and a 4yr old girl. I was inspired by Laura Ashley's Apple 4. This is available at Lowe's. It's a true apple or lime color. There is also Apple 3 and Apple 5, but Apple 4 was "perfect".

Here are the Laura Ashley Apples... they might be a bit greyer than she is looking for, but it might be just my monitor:

We painted our master bedroom "Fresh Pear" from Lowe's, it's the house brand's color, geez, can't remember the brand name. But it is BRIGHT without being shrek bright. Like granny smith apple in the sun bright.

I like it, my husband is sort of over it after a year, though...

Lowes' house brand is Valspar, but I can't find "Fresh Pear" on the Valspar's current color list...

Benjamin Moore has a color called Apple Green and another called Pear Green. I love Pear Green and was very tempted to use it for my powder room, but everything else in my house is bricky earthy colors and I thought it was too much of a jump.

They also have a color called Neon Celery - someone I know painted their office with that color and it's great - not nearly as bright as you'd expect with a name like that....

You guys are great! I ran to Lowe's today and pulled nearly every green they had, even though I am sure I have had all of them in that room at one time. I think I am going to start all over and use the photos posted here as inspiration. The Fresh Pear look pretty close to what I want, although I want it deeper, but maybe that is why I can't find the color I want. I think I want it deeper, but maybe I really don't. Maybe the deeper, greener color is too much for that room.

Nell Hill's Mary C Garity has artistic paint line and one of the colors that caught my eye, and perhaps would yours, was Hedgeapple green.

My latest purchase of sticky notes are that apple green, almost yellow color.

If you have such, take the sticky notes to SW or BM and they will color-match it. They can do that.

I recently painted my laundry room BM's Springhill Green (412). It's got a bit of yellow and I find it very clean and almost fruity. It's hard to photograph the color because there's no natural light in the room, but this is decent. It's a fresh, happy color.

I finally decided on Dancing Green (SW or BM, can't remember which) for dd's room. It's not something I picked right off the bat, but everything else turned a weird pea green. On the paint chip, it's weird, but it's a nice shade of apple green in my house. Although in certain light it is quite electric and looks different in every picture! But we'll have shutters and hopefully it'll tone down. Good luck.

Here's a pic of my guest room. It's Laura Ashley Apple 3 and Pale Apple striped. This room gets a lot of natural light. mclarke is right.. they are not as grey as they looks in those swatches.

Today is Green-Day! I am going with BM Pear Green. It is a bit more olive than I want, but after trying too many that are too bright, too electric, I think I need to tone it down a bit. It is the one on top.

But now I am doubting myself, especially after seeing the "Dancing Green". Oh gosh, can someone come and hold my hand???

Well, if anyone still cares, I put a hold on the green for Friday. I really wanted to see what SW Dancing green would look like, so I went and got a sample pot of it. I like it, although it still isn't exactly what I want. I have to make a decision soon. I am thinking the reason I am having so much trouble with this is that the bright, yellow green I think I want is just not going to work. It is just too bright of a room in itself and too large, also. Here is the Pear green on top and Dancing Green on the bottom.

I'm thinking I may like your original Shrek green the best :)

The Shrek green is the middle color in my Fri, Oct 19, 07 at 9:03 post. It is pretty awful.

I think you should try the pear green at half strength.

The dancing green looks very mintish next to the Pear. That may be deceptive because they're side by side, though. I personally think these kinds of greens are the hardest to pick.

I think you should try the Pear Green half strength. If you like it and want more intensity you could do a second coat in full strength.

I am just driving myself crazy with this. I agree, the Dancing Green is a bit minty, but not as much as the Pear green is avocado. I have had a few friends in to look at it this weekend and everyone agrees the Dancing Green is the beter than the Pear Green. I just looked on the SW site and Lime Rickey is the next color darker on the strip. Maybe that will give it the spark I am missing. I don't have the strip, so I can't compare it, but my painter does and he will be there tomorrow. Thank you so much for helping me with this color. I have done the whole house, using lots of color and this one has been the worst so far.

How about trying that green from Georgiagal's laundry room. I like the yellowness of it with your throw rug (on my monitor, at least).

How about SW Gleeful? There was a poster named Perky_2 who painted her study I believe, in a beautiful apple green and paired it with a black and white damask fabric and houndstooth fabric on wing chairs. It was gorgeous! Does anybody recall this? Do you remember the color? I thought it was a SW color, but not 100% sure. I have searched for that post, but I can't find it. Darn!

I used the Lowe's Virtual Painter and did the studio in LA Apple Green 4. It seems to be the color I want, but how close the computer program is, I don't know.

I just looked at Gleeful and I think it is like the Pear Green, a bit on the avocado side. I am thinking either the LA Apple Green 4 or the SW Lime Rickey now. That means I need to go get more sample pots of paint, because there is no way I am going to put this on without sampling it. So far, I have sampled 3 different colors. I wonder what the most amount of sample pots anyone has used for a room? I remember a thread about that once...

I have the SW color deck in front of me and Gleeful is NOT avocado at all! It is a yellow green. Very pretty without being electric. I remember the name of Perky_2's green. It is SW Hearts of Palm. Now, that leans more to the avocado side. But in her room it was a gorgeous color. Gleeful is a clear apple green. Worth a look!

OK, I put off making my decision again. I had the painter get me a sample pot of SW Lime Rickey, sight unseen. I had him on the phone and he walked over to the color strips and found the Lime Rickey/Dancing Green one. I said, "What does the Lime Rickey look like?". He said "Green". AAAHHHHH! Pretty funny, though. I am normally a pretty decisive person, so I am not sure why this one is getting to me. I just hope choosing carpet for all the rooms, my next big decisions, is much easier.

Don't feel bad. I've bought around 15 samples of paint so far just trying to find the perfect color :)

Well, it is done. I went with SW Lime Rickey. I actually like it better wet than dry. It has more of the yellow green to it when it is wet. I like it fine dry and today I was over there with the sunlight and it is very nice. It is very green! It is more to the color of the third photo, rather than the other two.

Now to get the carpet decided and in. Get the window trim on and get the rest of the house done. I can't wait to get the room loaded and some things on the walls.

I do too! My husband even loves it and he normally shies away from color. Not that I need him to love it, since it is my play space, but it is nice that he thinks it is fine. My carpenters came back after a month away and as I figured, they all gave me crap about it. They had to find something to tease me about, though.
