Where to find a great Kitchen Table?

Could you name some websites/stores that may have good kitchen tables? The only table I've ownes came from KMart and I'm ready for an upgrade! I've checked all the normals ones - Pottery barn, Crate and Barrel, West Elm, CB2, Overstock. I prefer the Crate and Barrel style, but need something pretty big and they have little in this area. Love 1 and it doesn't have the protective coating.

DH and I were at a PB outlet store recently and saw a Benchwright dining table. That thing is large and incredibly sturdy. Not sure if that's the look you are going for though. Which Crate and Barrel table are you liking?

Thanks, so I guess I'll keep it on the buffet for a while, then. Bonnie, it would look great on a mantel, wouldn't it? Unfortunately, our living room mantel is the only one that's not a kiva mantel. Those are too narrow for much. Our living room one, though, just couldn't handle mercury glass anything with these paintings above it . . . which I'm obviously not going to change ;^D The only holiday I put decs on this one is Christmas, and even that was tough to figure out at first! So, thanks again for the feedback on the mercury glass whatever. Does anybody know what it's called???

I can't seem to find a nice table that fits into our home. We are not formal but we also don't want modern. Contemporary is ok or something transitional with warmth. Ideas? Thanks!

Need help finding a small eat-in dining island/table for my kitchen

We are very happy with the 24 x 30 inch table we ordered from https://butcherblockco.com/john-boos-dining-table-tops. They have a choice of woods and shapes and as small as 24" square or round. We ordered beveled edges on the top and the appropriate size black metal base (they have a chart to help). All is very sturdy and the the top is beautiful . The company was very nice to deal with.

The best kitchen table I have ever purchased was from Saloom Furniture. Mine has a Corian top matched to my counter top. The quality is simply unmatched and they use the hardest maple (or cherry I'm not sure which I have now after 12 years) I have ever seen so it shows little to no nicks or scratches. It comes with the smoothest glide system to add the two leaves I have.

They don't currently use Corian anymore, but do use granite, glass and wood tops. I did not want wood because of the upkeep and ease of scratching. They might not be cheap, but their quality is worth every penny.

I think the best place to shop for a table is CL, there are lots of them on there in all styles and sizes and the prices can't be beat.
