What if...

Don't know that I want to use europillows since they'll cover a large portion of my headboard. I want the iron to show.

Get the main bedding, standard shams, have two pillows (fun red toile or pasiley something like above), and I could buy one of the europillows to make a smaller accent pillow to tie the pattern in?

sheesharee, from reading your posts, and seeing the pictures of your lovely home, I think the last one has "you " written all over it! Go with it if you love it! I love the toile idea.

When I purchased my reversible bedding, I bought two spreads and made euro shams and pillows out of one of them. Very economical.

One thing I noticed about your inspiration pictures is they have more of a feminine feel. The one from BBB is very masculine. The picture from "Feather Your Nest" has the masculine plaid pillows, but they also mixed in some paisley and florals. I might uses pieces of the bedding from BBB, but I don't think I would use it by itself.

Pammy - When I stumbled across this new bedding I said out loud, "that's it." Great idea to do that with the comforter! My Grammy once had an extra curtain panel for her LR and I made throw pillows out of it for her couch. Her idea. Never thought of doing something like that until then.

Msrose - I totally agree it needs prettied up. I like the comforter for sure but am debating what to do about the rest of the bed. I don't know that I'm in love with the bed skirt pattern but since it's on the underside of the comforter I think I need to tie it in somewhere. Wish I could see it IRL.

Do you have a Kohl's near you? They sell the Chaps line of bedding and I think it is more in line with the femine/masculine country manor look you like. I would also take a look at some of the department stores' RL line during a sale. Often times you can get a great deal!

Found the Summerton Queen set on ebay as they do not seem to have the comforter at Kohl's, but they do have the red coverlet for the foot of the bed, three accent pillows and the euro shams. Also remember that just because they don't list it online doesn't mean it isn't in the store.

Kmcg - There is Kohl's near me. I'll check it out this weekend. Hmm..sine the comforter isn't listed I don't know whether it's machine washable. The euro pillow shams aren't, which is fine, but the comforter needs to be.

That plaid that matches the bedskirt is a separate cover from the red, right? I like that plaid skirt and blanket better than the bb&b one. The red comforter I would only want to use at the bottom folded since it's a lot of floral. I like the euro pillow shams too but I need to remember at least three actual sleeping pillow need to go on the bed also.

The ebay price seems like a good deal. Thanks for posting that.

Thanks for posting that link! I never saw it before. I love first photos with all the wooden ducks and especially the LR & other sitting room photos. A little too much stuff out and on the walls for me but I love the mix of fabrics!

Shee, I LOVE the bedding you bought! The red is the punch of color you need, IMO. With winter coming soon, it's perfect!

You can also put the buffalo check pillows on your sofa & it would look nice.

And remember, once you get your new bed, hang more things on the wall, put knickknacks and lamps out, the room will look so inviting.

I love your style of decorating, but I do think you need more red. If you don't keep this bedding then I'm gonna have to get out of my chair and come up there! :)

I can't explain it but it's just not working for me IRL. I'm going to set it all up right and take another look but I think it's going back. For the money I just spend I need to really LOVE it, you know? I'm left standing there trying to convince myself I do.

The quality of RL is good, right? I added up pretty much everything you see in the photo for the Summerton set, including two of the accent pillows and it's pretty ouch, ouch, ouch pricey, IMO.

I emailed the seller and am double checking to make sure it's reversable. Kohl's should really put more info. on their site. If it's not machine washable it's out. :(

I've been trying to think of what I could do with the bb&b comforter still and I'm not sure I'm going to have enough pretty stuff to pull off the look I want.

I'm trying to find that deer toile fabric from the Nell Hill's blog bedding. I emailed them trying to get info. since it was mentioned it's in the store but haven't heard anything yet. Any ideas?

Nevermind, I actually managed to find the red deer fabric, yay.

I can't find the actual maker of the deer fabric so if anyone's bored....

Also, just found out the RL comforter is reversable to the plaid but unfortunately it's dryclean. :(

I spent a few hours last night messing around with photoshop. Going to do work on it more later and post.

Thank you for the code Twg but I'm going to pass on the RL because I can't throw it in the wash. I was shocked the color was that different from my monitor.

I saw it IRL today at Kohl's and it's much brighter red vs. deep. The plaid pillows are actually a fushia and watermelon red. The bedskirt plaid was nice. They had it on display but only the a sheet set was in stock.

Today was a loooooong day of shopping and all I have to show for it is one pair of jeans and a shirt. I'll work on photoshopping tomorrow.

Shee, you'll know it when you find it. If you don't love it, return it. Don't settle. Going to check out the RMS room.
