Try Country Curtains (www.countrycurtains.com). I bought copper/bronze circle rods there for my master bedroom and love them! They have thicker ones, but I don't know about the finish since I was looking for skinny ones just to hang victory valances. Not sure about 144" either. Good luck!

Judith, I got some of our rod's at Sear's on clearance about five years ago. Hubby was taking way too long looking at tools, which I normally enjoy, so I took off upstairs to look at window treatments and rods. Got lucky. Never have again so I went back to my old ways of buying unfinished brackets, finials and closet dowel rods and making my own. I'm pretty sure you can get the closet dowels at least up to twelve feet too. HoDe and Lowes both have the rods, but Lowes is the only one I've found the unfinished finials and brackets at though. You may have to check the millwork department. Some carry them on clip strips by their other rods, but other's carry them in millwork. Millwork orders them, so if you can't find them yourself ask someone from that department. You'll save $$ over buying them finished too.

Just wanted to let you know I found more of the Canopy Rods at another newer Wal-Mart. I am one happy camper. The rods are a much less expensive version of a design I'd expect to see at Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware. The quality is excellent and the prices can't be beat. I recommend anyone in the market seek out this brand. The 36 - 66" rods were $25 and the 66 - 120" rods were $31. My total for 2 of each was about $110. They are 1 1/2" diameter rods, nice and substantial too. I am simply thrilled with this purchase. It is for my "temporary" window treatment -- someday I will spring for the custom drapes I really want, I hope, and these rods might get the boot. But they look really amazing with the panels I got from Linens and things (108" long tone on tone striped damask in a pale straw color w/coupon only $20 each!! I needed 13 panels for my project). We just have so many other expenses right now, that I am proud of myself that for a total investment of $380 I have all the draperies I need to polish up my very large kitchen dining room/great room. Can't wait to get them up...

judithn: I had similar problem when I was looking for the 144" size, but you've looked at all the places I went to. I did manage to find a reasonably good and priced selection at Lowes and JC Pennies and also ended up with a very pricy custom one through Calico Corners. I see you found your rods, horray!

We bought this one at Walmart. It is "ORB". Our window is 5x5 not counting the eyebrow. Ceiling is 9 feet.

This angle is not making it look the best. I'll try to get a better picture of it. The ends are more substantial than this picture shows.

I got our's from Restoration Hardware last year. Look for the XXL size, sometime you will need to call them to make sure the size fits.
