What do you think of this color combo for walls?
Comments (37)Here are some pictures of Gossamer blue and wedgewood blue next to Pallaidian blue They really don't show the true color and I tried everything. Don't have a picture of the PR since it is not done and there is no light fixture in there. I took a picture anyhow from outside the PR and had to focus on the ceiling fan, otherwise my camera will not focus on a blank wall. From left to right looking at bottom colors gossamer blue, palladian blue, wedgewood blue picture od PW gossamer blue on wall seafoam on ceiling These colors look a little gray on my monitor but I promise you they are not. Gossamer blue is from the Color Preview and is number 2123-40 The 2 colors on top right and middle are something else...See Moreliving room design Paint & Curtains- help design!
Comments (71)i am not a pro... but I have similar situation with lighter couches than yours but lots of natural light and light wood floors, tried accessible beige (100%. and 75%), agreeable grey, natural choice, neutral ground, shoji white and one or two others. In process of painting with pearly white at 115%... it's very different than what we had but I really like that it's warm white, but still crisp look and goes well with lots of elements and looks great with my Naval walls in adjacent library and navy accents.. Many of the other colors looked nice during the day but came off pretty dark and more color forward at night even with lighting....See MoreHelp!! Confused about white paint choices.
Comments (76)Hi Beth, I did a search for images of the Carrara Marmi, and from what I saw it was the least patterned. But your photos show it to be very busy, so I would steer clear of it personally. Although engineered quartz is man-made, it still has variation in production lots. I remember Sophie Wheeler comparing quartz production to making a marble cake. You add the darker bits, and really don't have all that control over how it blends together. So all that being said, when selecting a countertop with any sort of pattern you need to 1. see a very large sample, and 2. view the actual slabs you are going to buy, just like you do with a natural stone....See MoreI hate picking paint colors!!!
Comments (40)I see comments about the fireplace and my first thought was to do a very thin lime-wash on the stone, to soften the red tones. I think it will take the reddish tone out and make it feel more like your inspiration photo. We did that in a customers home and it was a great economical way to bring it together. The colors you are viewing are looking lighter than they really are because the current colors are darker, reflecting onto your samples making them seem lighter. Paint nearly always looks a shade or two darker after you apply., and the tint reflects. The Agreeable Gray, BM pashmina, BM Dove are all great and very reliable staple colors and not TOO gray-all very organic colors. I don’t think you will go wrong with any of those. Good luck! I think it will be lovely. On your spot repair-use wallboard based spackle instead of plastic based filler, and be dab it with a damp sponge. Use a washable primer-based flat paint with a medium piled roller and it should smooth it beautifully....See Morenewenglandsara2
