Double wall ovens AND Micro in the same column?
Comments (6)I installed a Wolf MW24 above a Wolf Double-Oven E Series. I likewise could not find another space for the microwave. The microwave sits a bit higher than optimal, and the lower oven a tad lower than optimal, but overall I am happy with the placement. It's certainly better than the alternatives. I've had no issues with the operation of any of the units. The convection oven sits in perfect position, and the lower oven is used less frequently - so I think it is a good compromise. Here is a pic:...See Morehot water rad - would you paint it wall or trim color?
Comments (10)The hot water radiators in our first house had surrounds built out of wood and a metal grate in front. They were wonderful! The low surrounds were a wonderful, warm place to sit on a cold day. Some of our neighbors covered them with seat cushions. The higher ones were nice display space. I had one in the kitchen that had a cabinet door and a couple of shelves inside, next to the radiator-- an awesome place to proof bread. The surrounds were painted the trim color. I would see if you could have a surround made. Or, maybe you could find one at a salvage store. Whatever material is used needs to be able to stand up to the heat of the radiator. Miss my radiators! They are to my mind so much more healthful than forced air. And the sounds they make are comforting....See MoreKeep accent wall idea - or paint same color as walls?
Comments (4)Tough to say without seeing the whole place, but if the windows are the focal point in the room, I wouldn't paint anything that stands out, and likely would match to the white. I think you should draw attention to the window area of the room and not highlight other walls, it could look too mish-mashed....See MoreWould you paint Cathedral ceilings the same as your walls???
Comments (8)I love painted ceilings, and I'm finding that white vaulted ceilings in my house look odd with painted walls (so most of my walls are now white to blend the two together). That said, I don't have any beams or trim or lights on my ceilings to contrast, and my vaults are steep enough that the ceiling looks more like an extension of the wall. With your lower vault and the beams and the lights, I'd be pretty tempted to leave it all white. If that last picture is your bathroom ceiling it looks small--is it a powder room? If that's the case, I'm all for doing something really fun....See MoreUser
