does anyone still make console T.V.s?
Comments (3)Maybe you could talk your dad into a TV armoire. I really like those a lot better than console TVs because they put the TV up higher and make it easier to see. But you still have the "furniture" look you get with a console....See MoreNeed help in finding a corner tv armoire
Comments (7)Sauder opened a furniture store here-- EZ Home or something like that. They've been advertising one in a Cherry finish that looks nice. Don't remember the doors. Of course its not really wood, but I stopped at Raymour & Flanigan Sat. and was surprised to find very little of that is either! Sandy...See MoreEntertainment Furniture and New TVs
Comments (0)Has anyone come up with a way to re-purpose Entertainment furniture, now that the TVs keep getting flatter and bigger? We have a beautiful 3 piece Ethan Allen Townhouse unit, and it does not fit our new space. We have a flat TV for the inside, and it is nice to close the doors. The center unit can be used a lone, and we are thinking of adding a pole to use as an armoire in the bedroom. I have thought about selling, but I am worried we would not make enough of a return on the investment....See MoreRepurposing DR???
Comments (13)In a previous house where we raised our children we turned our dining room into a study/computer room with a desk, small sofa and chair. It was the best thing we ever did to that house. We changed out the chandelier to a ceiling fan, it had a great bay window, it was perfect for us and I had no regrets. At the time I had my mother in law's table in there but I was only keeping it until my sister in law moved into her home and needed it. When she took the table we re-purposed the room. Now as an empty nester, we just built a home and I really wanted a dining room. We use it much more now than when the kids were small. They tend to marry and multiply so the dining room is used much more often for family gatherings than it ever was when there was the four of us. Do what suits you now and yes, you can always switch it back someday if you choose....See Moregsciencechick
