Adding switch in line to operate fan and light independently

Hi. I currently have one switch in my bath that controls the fan and light. The fan and light are separate - they're not a combo unit. I want to convert this single gang box with the single pole switch to a double gang box with two single pole switches - one for the fan and one for the light.

This switch is obviously in line with several other fixtures because there are 4 whites tied together with a wire nut, and there are two blacks in each terminal of the switch (And the grounds are tied together). Also, the circuit breaker controls the light/fan in the bath, lights in the garage, light in the foyer (between garage and kitchen) and lights in the kitchen.

I know I can connect the black for the light to one switch and the black for the fan to the new switch, but what do I do with the remaining two hot black wires that head out down line? And do I simply "pigtail" the switches together?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Mike
