Kristi, I really believe temps play a great role in the colorations of our Amaryllis. Our dear friend Jodi and I would often compare the coloration of say a San Remo blooming in Illinois in the cold winter and a San Remo blooming in mild and sunny SW Florida. I think the first blooms, and this is just a personal observation, of any purchased bulb will exhibit it's homeland or birth colors and then the following year adapt it's colors to it's new and loving home. Does any of this make sense to anyone besides me?? Just my personal thoughts. In any event, your Limon has become much more apealing under your tutorage! Beautiful hints of color make it more interesting.

See I tried some strawberry tree fruit from my neighbor's tree and to me it tasted like strawberry bubble gum it was great. I loved the squishy texture with all the seeds. I tried saving one to plant the seeds but it got eaten :)

OK, so this is kind of embarrassing, after all my debating about what color Peytons to go with.... We were in Boston last weekend and went to a Pottery Barn and bought one panel in the Peyton Chestnut and one panel in the Clay silk dupioni. When we brought them back to Florida and hung them on a pole side by side in our family room/sunroom, the Peyton just seemed too heavy for the room with a texture too similar to our cream-colored sectional (see photos above). Also, we want to be able to push the panels as far out of the way during the day and the silk really seem much lighter and fold up much smaller. So after all this, it looks like we will by going with the bronzey-looking clay silk dupionis after all! Now our big dilemma is whether to go with the 84 inch length panels, which means with the pole and rings they will aang 5 inches above the 82-inch windows (including trim), or spring for the 96-inch ones and go to the expense of hemming them, just to get a few inches more in height. Oh decisions, decisions!!! (yes, I am looking for advice, f anyone wants to look at my photos above.) Thanks. Mollie, can't wait to see how your drapes look -- please post pictures!

PB was selling out of these quite frequently which is the reason why I bought 3 off of ebay. One of mine needed a minor fix so I called PB for the name of the part or if I could get the part from them. At that time, they were in stock but low on quantity. That was in April and by May they were sold out. I am surprised they have them on sale and have no doubt they will sell out at $79. I would recommend buying them and then if you don't use them, they sell well on ebay. Some of the reviews for the pendant mention the fish scale lighting on the ceiling and walls but I think that is part of the charm. At night when the lights are low, they have a wonderful glow about them. As I have said before, I love them and would recommend them. Let us know what you decide. Any of the options you are considering will look fabulous in your kitchen.
