I just wanted to post my experence with an old Echo. About 6 months ago I was given (for free!!!) an Echo PB-300E by a buddy I work with. He said it had been sitting in a barn of theirs untouched for years. His dad left it there when it became difficult to start. Well I got it and performed a general clean up of the exterior to get the grime/debris/dirt and crudd off it. Then I looked at the fuel. It looked like burnt coffee! So I dumped it then filled it about 1/4 the way full with fresh fuel and shook the crap out of it 3-4 times till the gas was clean (looked like it did from my fuel can) when I poured it out. I then removed the plug that was in it and gave it a thorough scrubbing till it looked almost brand new. I then filled it with fresh fuel and added the recommended amounts of Seafoam and also Licas upper cylinder lubricant. Reinstalled the plug, pulled out the chocke, turned the throttle to full blast and pulled the cord. It started right up! After it warned up (maybe 2 minutes) it blew some nasty nasty smoke for about another 5-7 minutes. Then I let it rip till that half a tank of fuel + additives was no more. I have been using it this entire season roughly 2 times a week and it starts first pull every time!!! It smokes for a min or two after its started at full throttle and for a min or so if at full throttle after left ideling for roughly 3-5 minutes too. The only thing I have a problem with is restarting when it's warm. Maybe I just haven't found the right combo of throttle/choke but I have tried many times and it just seems like its flooded. Any comments/ideas on that? I still have try to remove/clean the carb and I'm sure that would remedy the hot start, rather hot no start issue. I am just completely blown away with how great this old blower is and wish I could actually find some specs on it.

@Bella rosa -- Clematis can be extremely frustrating that way. They are often mislabeled, AND the appearance of the blooms is very sensitive to environmental conditions and health of the plant. There are several varieties, for instance, that will bloom with doubled blooms at some times and singled blooms at other times -- and flower color on younger or stressed-out plants is often paler than on older or healthier plants, something that can be especially obvious on the striped varieties. Give yours a couple of years before you make any conclusions about its "true" appearance!

I have been following this thread and investigating each pepper variety that has popped up here as I am planning a grow out of the best variety. The one I grew a few years back was a C. baccatum that was quite prolific, pendant fruit, nice heat and had the citrus flavor expected: LEMON DROP - hot; Andean Aji Type; 2 to 3 inches long by 0.5 to 0.75 inches wide; medium thick flesh; matures from green to bright yellow; pendant pods; green leaves; 24 to 30 inches tall; Late Season (80-90 days); C.baccatuum. 20 seeds. But I am also looking at a C. chinense variety: LIMON - very hot; 1.5 to 2 inches long by 0.5 to 0.625 inches wide; medium thick flesh; matures from green to yellow; pendant pods; green leaves; 12 to 18 inches tall; Early Season (60-70 days); Uses: Prolific; from Peru; C.chinense. Maybe I'll have to grow both? I realize there are variants, look how many yellow varieties are available at PepperMania, so I'm still looking. NECM

Did you give him a down??? Has the builder already scheduled dig? Or is he working on permitting in your area Normally like you said the 3 days buyer remorse period is up and you are stuck. It is unfortunate that you got caught in this but it does happen. I am not saying he is a bad builder only that it seems as you were rushed through the contract. If he is a reputable builder then he will sit down with you and go over the issues and probably work out a resolution. I have run into the misunderstandings before and normally there is a compromise. No builder wants his customer leary of him from start of project. As far as the design. My designs sometimes have items (upgrades) in them at time of sale that the customer does not want to pay for upgrade. It is what is on the contract that holds up in court. Good Luck, David
