black out shades for triple window baby room

We are moving to our new place in under 2 weeks!

My one year old toddler is a light sleeper and seems to wake up easily when it gets light out. In our rental, we have miniblinds that don't really block the light, and then we hung up towels over them to block more light.

In his new room, there is a triple window. Each pane is 32x50, so it's over 96" wide.

I found a roller shade that matches his crib bedding at blindsgalore. Should I get 3 of those and mount to the outside of the window, then put a valace over the top to hide the roll?

It doesn't seem like a great idea to have a humongous shade the whole width, but I don't think there is space for inside mounting?

I've never ordered window treatments before, so I'm a little confused as to what I need.
