Spiteful D?

My husband has an extremely difficult relationship with his 33-yr old daughter,T(whom during the last 7 years since we were married, has said at least 4 times that she didn't want to have any relationship with him (in any case, she hardly ever takes his calls, or calls him unless she wants something), after she did not get what she wanted, which is money. T claims he never supported them (not true - granted he did not make much when he was paying child support over 20 years ago, but he did fulfil his obligations). T likens her mother to God who took care of every of her need and her sister's. (T likes to bring in her sister's name everytime she sends a nasty email to her Dad, and rarely addresses him as Dad - calls him Dude or Hey.)

T now has a good job, but recently called her Dad (when he calls her, she's usually too busy with friends to really talk with him, etc.) and asked if he would like the opportunity to pay some of her debts since he did not pay for her college education. Remember she's already 33. She knows he has a mortgage and other obligations (I'm also trying to get him caught up with his retirement, which was almost nothing when we first got married.) Anyway, based on T's current salary, we know she is more than able to pay off her loans unless she wants to live above her means. But she thinks her Dad owes her a living. When she didn't get what she want, again, she went on the usual tirade about him being such a lousy father who never supported them etc etc, that she would never forgive(?) him. I think she needs to grow up and stop being so spiteful and greedy. When my husband gave away our car to her sister (because I did not need the car and he was going to be out of country for awhile), T accused him of giving her sister a car that is faulty (absolutely untrue). Unfortunately, T seems to be full of terrible envy too. We had paid for a vacation once for her -that was probably our mistake - nothing is enough for her, it seems. I don't think we should settle any of her debts (even if we are in a position to do so) because she has to learn to be responsible and stop blackmailing her father's emotions (he more than anything wants a healthy relationship with his children) - I would like to hear what others think. Thanks for reading!
