I was going to make this for my gift exchange but decided on something waaay coooler so on a break from making the real gift exchange, I still had this on my mind sooo....

Cindy, Your Exotic Star is beautiful..one of my favorites. Last year I had 3 stalks and a total of 12 flowers and nothing took on any of them, selfs included..not a one! This year I've only had 1 stalk so far with 3 flowers and I put papilio on one something else on the second and the third I selfed. I now have a huge selfed pod that is just about to ripen..so you never know..so try one self and anything on the other flowers hopefully, luck will be with you. And, Xuan, I did have plenty of pollen on my 3 flowers this year and I looked at the pictures from last year and it appears that there was plenty of pollen then too. Just may be an off year for your pollen production, but it really doesn't take much to pollenate a flower, just a little dab will do it.. ;-) Donna

Love the quilt. I fell in love with the block when we did it as Lotto block. Despite what they said, it's wonderful! I agree with Jackier. I had a similar problem with one I made specifically for my daughter. I was so excited at how quickly I finished the top that I took it to show her, just the top before quilting it. She expounded, "I can't sleep under that!" For her tastes it was too busy and would keep her awake! Needless to say, I never quilted it and she still hasn't got a quilt from me. I took it out recently and decided I don't like it anymore either. Unfortunately, her favorite type quilt would be a solid blue, no piecing, with lots of quilting! LindaB/CA

Oh thanks for the praise:). I think the bleak economy and years of neutrally dominant decor has left us craving a bit more interest maybe. Mtr. I love your beach home's wallpapered rooms it was what started me thinking I was ready to try a small dose! There are many different removable brands of wallpaper even Sherman Williams carry some but I must embarrassingly admit that mine is from none other than Devine and found in the decor aisles of your local Target. I picked it to practice with but am happy enough to keep it til it fails to make me smile. It was not super cheap though, it runs about $30 per 3ft of wall this tiny closet used three of their rolls. It's the first thing I've completed in months!!! Will finish Gift Exchange item also tonight, but sheesh, I have not made anything since october!!! AND I didn't finish that TP tower, chicken that DD won't like it....fear...yuk! Never had that about a gift before!

OHGOODGRIEF!! The TP tower is just wonderful - grout that beauty. If she doesn't want it, you could use it as a plant stand, a CD tower, or put ANYWHERE. I had forgotten about it. I LOVE it. Chickee is pretty too.

What a cute chickadee, love it. The tower is great, the colors are just wonderful. Maybe once you grout it, you'll like it more. I cant imagine your DD not loving it.

Okay, it Official!! DH and DD are Scrooges!!! They are sucking every bit of Christmas Cheer outta this home!!! The new version of "Bah Humbug" is > "Whatever"! I'm sure glad Klinger is coming over on Friday, She's My Fun Girl!!
Party! Party! Party! Sheesh, Wish all you gals could come over!!! Wouldn't that be fun?! I figure I could fit 12 people all crafting at once with all the craft tables I have(and a couple of tv trays!) Drinkin' Nog, breaking out in off key song! Crafting away! YEEHAAW!!! God Bless us, Everyone!!

I love birds - that chickadee is so cute !! I love that Hanger/stand .... I've never see aything like it. It fits perfectly !!

I can't believe you haven't grouted that tower yet - what are you waiting for? I love that thing. Grout in that bright green would look nice.

That tower is gonna be gorgouse when it's finished....I love the vibrant blue colors!

The stand is a ts find. I bought a few and used them and then ran across this one which matches so I think I have scored 4. I have some nice stands somewhere out in the shed that are wood, hopefully they are not moisture warped, now that I have a bit of room I should go find em and haul MORE stuff into the house!lol!

he's 'ethnic' and knows how funny it sounds, coming from a non'American...I crack up everytime he says it.

Both are wonderful!!! I had my TP tower out once to work on and had to put it back. Your tower has inspired me to get it out again as soon as I finish what I am working on. Both things are GREAT. Get the grout going on that tower and put it to good use.

And as far as the Scrooge man goes. I am there with mine too. This year I decided to not do ANYTHING either. I will spend my usual decorating time working on my mosaic projects. THAT includes ALL the TIME I would SPEND MAKING THAT HUGE CHRISTMAS DINNER!!!!And all of the Christmas GOODIES!!! I am on a diet!!! Hehehe Paybacks are a ***CH!!

I love the Christmas lights on your table!!!! Heheheh
