LOL Annie, little man liked that Michigan Sushi idea. I reminded him of his experience from the past year but he didn't seem to worry. When I asked him "What do you do when one of your friends tells you that you have bad breath?" He said, "I will say 'it's too bad that you don't eat fish.'" I am so proud! Jim, I have never tried lox myself so can't say if it will be less smelly or not. Since fish is one of our favorite foods we never have any leftover fish from the night before. Our mornings seem to be very short and we always end up rushing out of the door so canned fish is what we will settle with for now. Tami, little man has never tried mints before. I personally don't like them so I have a feeling that he may not enjoy a mint in his mouth. He loves tic tac. I bought him some tic tac in little colorful containers with the pop-up lid. So I won't have to worry about school people mistaken them as pills. Terri, lucky you. At least he can still take peanut butter to school. It's an absolute no-no to bring any nuts or anything that contain trace amount of nut to school. Little man loves peanut butter banana sandwiches. I don't want him to eat PBB sandwich every day but once in a while would be nice. I definitely will make the rolled fish bread for him tomorrow. In fact, we have already planned for the rest of the week... Thursday will be sardine sushi. Instead of using nori I will use sesame seeds on the outside. Friday will be BBQ seitan strips with raw carrot and cucumber. It's gonna be a good week for him. Al

We feed her twice a day like the vet recommended. She's not deaf, she'll look at wear the sound is coming from, but won't respond, like she's ignoring us, or trying to. The other dog actually calmed her anxiety, she's a jealous dog, that can be sneaky though, which I forgot to inform you guys about (sorry, i was sort of panicking.) When she was a puppy we couldn't leave her a cage, that was around x5's bigger then her in the first place, because she had anxiety issues and would scratch her head against the side until it bled. So we got her a brother, and everything changed and she's really nice now. But Chester, Sophies "brother", is a soft-coated wheaten terrier, we've already took him to around 4 different trainers, I guess it's just his instincts preventing him changing into a nicer, calmer, relaxed, less dirty dog. ( We wash/groom him, but he loves going outdoors..so.ha.) And yes, we are feeding her a quality dog food that you can only buy at certain pet stores, not PetCo/PetSmart. Do they do blood work when dogs go into surgery? I know it may sound silly, but I'm sure if she's already gotten blood work done for all that. She had surgery earlier this summer for skin-tags, and cracked teeth, in multiple areas for the skin-tags. I really hope it's nothing more then old age, if there's cancer, It would really crush me. She's one of the prettiest weimaraners ever, well, not to be conceited, but she really is a pretty one. Oh, and she's kind of getting more paranoid in a sense. Getting scared really easily, I don't know why! We treat our dogs with respect like their our family, which they are, and there's no pet-abuse in the family either. (Never ever ever will that happen!)

I think you're both right. He's actually stopped limping and the wound is scabbed over, but I think I'd rather just see him in a safer place. I wish we had room for one more!! It's the holiday weekend right now, but I have an appointment at my vet on Tuesday. And yes, this isn't my first. They usually give me a good price. They'll probably even help me find him a home.... Okay, off topic, Sally, please, please do a new post, for your reveal. I do enjoy all the white kitchens but for many reasons did not do one myself; we non-Somethin's Gotta Give remodelers need more inspiration photos! Was that Costa by the way? It's gorgeous! On topic: When one measurement changed, I did not think through how that impacted the rest of the plan. Despite research on the web and the store, when I received my microwave trim kit, the cabinet needed to get deeper than planned. I figured out pretty last minute that we now had a tiny unacceptable walkway and we moved the fridge over. We were so busy congratulating ourselves on our narrow escape, but the ride wasn't over. I didn't think about the 3 upper spacious cupboards that would now be microscopic when installed. The cabinet maker cut me a pretty good deal to redo that set with fewer but bigger doors. He definitely went above and beyond, and given what everyone else has posted about contractors, I am so very grateful that it got corrected as it did. Another one I did not think about soon enough was making a Ceiling and Texturing Plan. This is not the same as a Lighting plan, although lighting obviously figures into the equation. We did parts (not all) of this project DIY. We hadn't realized some areas that we needed to mud better because they would not be covered by tile or cabinet (ie above the window) and he had to add some hot mud last minute. Given the contractor we got (a personal rec), that was only a small upcharge. Also, be aware that once your texturing is underway, the room is sealed off. You can't supervise unless you are sealed in too. I would send in a big map or go over it with blue tape that you remind him to pull off before he starts that area. Like another poster, I also did not figure out that I wanted my ceiling light hung from a different position. I will not retexture, my husband is adamant that I find a table fixture that can be hung to correct position by a chain and a hook. It is what it is. The height and exact placement of the hood was not ideal. I was adamant that it be within the manufacturer's specs so that it worked properly. However, there were several inches of leeway within those guidelines. Have everyone pretend to be cooking and see what they think. It should have been higher to avoid my husband bumping his head. He is learning. But that was definitely a mistake.
