Manipulation?

Wow, here I thought I was the only one who recognized the manipulation! We have been dealing with manipulating children, but they learned it from the expert, their mother. My daughter's father came back from war after a year and wanted to get her something special, so he got her a Nintendo DS. My sd complained to my husband that it was no fair, basically told him to buy her one too. We pay a disgusting amount of child support, and she rarely uses it for them. She told him that we were loaded, and that we should be buying her those things. It's bad enough we have to go out and buy them entire wardrobes for the four seasons because she refuses to send them clothes for the every other weekend they are here. Here is another dilemma. They constantly come to us complaining that she hits them, screams and berates them. When we have reported her for child abuse, they change their stories. They tell their counselors different stories as well, and it makes us look like we are making things up. They claim that they are afraid of what she will do to them if she finds out that they told someone. So what do you think? We also found out that when she does go to her counselor, she complains loudly about our home, how she isn't the center of attention (she has complained to my daughter that she is used to being the center of attention all the time) and she thinks she should get alone time with her father all the time. Trust me, I could go on. The counselor told us that she and her sister and playing my husband and his x. Problem is she is the most angry, unreasonable person I have ever known. She cannot have a single civil conversation without screaming and throwing fits if he doesn't bend to her every whim and will. Also, she has been found guilty of child abuse previously with my husband's son from a previous relationship, twice. She claims that she has changed...what I don't get is why can she pissed at him (us) for what they are telling us?? HELP!
