Help finding a Navy patterned Duvet
Comments (12)Nosoccer-thanks for the suggestions! The charisma Como is pretty, but with only two tones and an open expanse of the same color, I don't think it would be ideal with such a drastic wall color. I don't necessarily want a bunch of colors, but maybe a stronger pattern? The Putney blue is very pretty...I wonder if it is discontinued...having a hard time finding a larger view of the duvet/blanket... I do really like the pattern on this, but wonder if those straighter long parts are going to be a crazy obvious repeat . . The Costa azurra is very pretty...maybe just not quite what I am looking for. I like the pattern on this one better on the pillowcases than the duvet, if that makes sense? I have been googling for over a week since I popped into the PB store and just determined I didn't love any of the bedding. Hoping maybe with fall/winter coming up, some new navy bedding will cone in...DH just wants place decorated, even if I change it later. ( we just got done redoing this house over the last three months and moved in a week ago!)...See MoreA good charcoal paint color?
Comments (14)Hi - yes. Sorry, it was to illustrate that each of those ‘greys’ comes from a segment of the colour wheel, from which it’s possible to select colours to create a classical colour palette with others taken from the Yellow-Red Hue Family. (like orange woodwork) I think your suggestion of Grizzle Gray is lovely, but there’s a greater potential to accentuate the ‘orangeness’ of the wood, the farther away you move from its Yellow-Red Hue Family. Many use that contrast in Hue, to create a liveliness between colours. Complementary pairings (direct opposite on the wheel do that the most). Others prefer their relationships to be more gentle. So choosing a grey from the same Hue Family or the adjacent is perhaps less likely to accentuate the orange. It just depends what you are after? 🌈...See MorePaint color help for navy cabinets

Comments (22)zach, the advice I gave doesn't have to be expensive. a lot of what I suggested is perfectly doable for young, able-bodied people. I know because I've done it on my own home. If all you want is a trim color to go w/soot, pick something like Simply White or Behr Swiss Coffee. (I prefer Behr paint to BM, believe or not). Why not get some samples and do a portion of the house so you get an idea how it looks? I only mentioned the hedge so you could actually see the front of your house and the colors you're painting. Around your front door area I would sand that wood, stain it a cedar color, seal it, and have the natural wood color. it will look a lot better than doing a dark color around that recessed door. I also mentioned doing the Romabio masonry, and not the limewash. if you like the mcm look, do a full coverage and not a limewash....See Moredaisychain01
