Cost of structural/low voltage wiring. Is this OK or too much?

Hi there,

We are building a new home, and I met with the low voltage/structural wiring person last week to discuss wiring the house for multimedia/phone/security system.

The house is about 4,000 sf, and this is what the wiring includes:

Rough in (no hardware) for security system:

4 entry, 2 keypad, 2 motion detector, 5 glassbreak, 2 smoke detector, 1 siren = $320.00

Structured wiring:

OnQ 42" svc center, OnQ 1 x 8 enhanced telecom model, OnQ 1 x 8 passive video module, 6 multimedia cables, 2 5e phone and data cables, 2" chase pipe from attic to crawlspace = $1810.00

Audio and theater roughin:

Surroundsound pre-wire - 16G oxygen free audio cable

4 multisource home stereo pre-wire - 16/2 from 2 speaker locations to volume control box, 16/4 and Cat5 from volume control box to stereo head end = $750.00

Total cost is $2880.00

Could you tell me if you think this pricing is reasonable?

(I know nothing about this type of work!)

Thanks so much! :)
