Busy past 3 days for me. Tuesday - taking Mom to have her port flushed then new knife shopping (3 stores), then a Red Lobster Crab Fest lunch. A treat for her birthday. Then dropping her off at Kohl's while I go to the thrift store. It was half off everything day at the thrift store - very crowded even in the afternoon. Didn't find anything I wanted - oh well. Wednesday - Taking Dad to plastic surgeon for consult on cancerous lesion. He was worried, but the doc was able to ease his mind I think. The doc will cut it out in a few weeks in the office, no surgery center, no radiation or chemo needed. Then a few more errands. Then a nice Mexican lunch where Dad enjoys a relieving jumbo margarita. Today Mom's annual pet scan. Two boring hours for her at the cancer clinic, whilst I do Walmart, Aldis, gas station, a 2 more thrift stores. I score a silk blazer for a quarter that is too big for me. Maybe I can alter it enough to fit, but if not...I'm only out 26 cents. And then lunch at pub I hadn't been to before. Mom quipped that going out to eat 3 days in a row felt like a vacation! I agree, but since all these excursions involve a 45+ mile round trip each day and numerous stops, as the driver I'm looking forward to a few days off! :)

Haybarn. I LOVE IT!!! Thinking on size my garage inside is 30 by 30 and that is not all that big. There is a carport on one side 12 by 30. adding under cover storage space. But I have taken it over for my new shaded patio area to be. Right now it is only a vision with the table and chairs and glider moved over there and a couple planters to be sitting empty. When I used to have to watch my internet usage I would go online and get all the scoop quickly then go off line and answer my emails and any forum comments I wanted to make. Then back on line to send and post comments Saved a lot of online time and I could write my email answers and forum comments at leisure. I would now be lost with out my always on internet. Since I gave up the DISH TV I only get TV through the internet or watch movies from the library. Eventually the library will run out of movies I have not seen. Very happy to have a gift of Prime through Amazon to watch even more movies. The weather is still too good to be inside watching much TV but that snow is coming. This morning my front tree leaves are all covering the ground again. I will finish neighbors leaves because her trees are leafless. Mine still have a long way to go. It was 31 degrees this morning so I am in no hurry to get out there to start raking. Everything is also very wet from the early fog which is gone now but left it's wet behind. The glass on the window is actually glass on a window hanging in front of the dinning room window. It blocks the glare from the white garage roof just across from the house. I was considering putting glass directly on the smaller panes of the laundry room door. I have a lace curtain there now. This door window looks directly into the guest bathroom and since I do not usually shut the door to the laundry room some one coming to the out side door could catch me sitting on the toilet. OOPS. It has happened. I will only be able to use smaller light weight glass dishes and a lot of textured glass. I do not want to block any light or as little as possible but I want to create privacy. Add this to my list of projects. PLUS 4 more valance like glass on windows to hang in the living room windows. My brain never quits.

Yeah. Can't wait. I will put a whole bale of hay, maybe 2, in the most protected barn. They will likely stay there most of the time. The automatic waterer is near that door. There will be a deep drift in front of it but they will get there. I'll fill the chicken feed to the top of the feeder and the water to the top. They aren't laying more than a couple of eggs a day so if the eggs freeze before I get them, dog food! I've had the warming mats for the cats and the dog plugged in for a couple of weeks already so if they choose to, there is a warm spot to lay. It's surprising how much warmer it is inside the buildings out of the wind. I know the dog's cat has been using her mat. I have the scanner on and the accidents are starting to happen. I would like to have a few moments alone with people who think they have to get out on the road in weather like this. They give no thought to anyone else as long as they can GO! They create accidents and make law enforcement and emergency personnel risk their lives to rescue them. What is so important it has to be done in a blizzard? Iowa. Winter. Who doesn't know what the driving conditions will be? And it's not like the storm snuck up on them. They were forecasting it day before yesterday.

Congratulations ImHappy. will have to look up what you bought. Not familiar at all with the name. I have had my car over two years and still do not know how to work all of the bells and whistles. I have been good and finally tonight I glued the last piece of fill in for the hallway wall. Now to do the top part of the arbor then the pond plants grout all of it and I will be done. Not sure I will get it done by March which will be the three year point of starting. course I did not work on it constantly all that time. I finally feel like I made some progress. Happy to be back to creating again and not just filling in background. PHEW it will still be a long time before I see ground around here except for my driveway which I kept shoveled and it has melted about 85% of it. The walkway from front door to garage was terribly slick so I threw down some kitty litter on it. That really helped and I managed to get my trash out to the garage and also walk to the post office. The storm coming through gave a break today and was mostly freezing rain. Why everything is so slick.
