These particular windows face southeast and northeast. Santa Fe has few really hot days, and this house in particular stays pretty cool with no A/C.

Anything else at the home being changed? Not sure I would enlarge the middle one unless you are trying to achieve some symmetry between the 3 and center the middle on the opening span.

It all depends on your budget. I would get estimates on everything you potentially want to do (moving electric, getting rid of the bump out, cost of window etc.), and then from that point make your decision on what’s most important. Without moving electrical, you’re pretty limited in the width of the window due to your meter outside. As others have said, I would go with the thinnest frame possible but would also extend the window all the way down to the counter which will really help to open things up. So if budget was not an issue, I would lose the bump out (as it makes the window feel like it’s in a little cubby hole), move the electrical, and install a large window that extends way beyond the sink area. You have such a pretty view, it’s a shame not to capitalize on it.

@hallettco The goal would be a style/color change to black casements for a more modern look. I don't love the look of the storm windows that are currently on there. Also, to have a more functional window. The house was built in 1940 and settling has caused some of them to jam, as well as some rotting and cracked glass. They are pretty beat up. I was not sure that the original windows are worth saving so I am interested in hearing opinions on that.
