window world vs Thermal Windows
Comments (4)I live in Tulsa, OK and had a couple of friends that had window world install theirs windows 12 years ago and had horrible experiences. One of those friends has already replaced those window world windows with Thermal window, because they ended up sagging so bad and leaking water into the house. I used Thermal Windows and still have lower utility bills then I did 12 years ago when I replaced them. The install crew did an excellent job and cleaned up as they went, it was a great overall experience and I recommend them to everyone....See MoreSliding Patio Door - Window World Price Tempting!
Comments (34)We had Window World windows installed on our entire house. We love them! I ran across this when I was searching for WW to contact them about installing a door. I had to comment. The windows look great. The installers were on time, professional, and did a wonderful job. Definitely not " drug addicts " mentioned in an earlier post. 10 years later and absolutely no problems. I do not work for WW, nor am I affiliated with them in any way other than being a satisfied customer. Why would you think that anyone who leaves a positive comment must be working for the company? Ridiculous. It seems that a few are going out of their way to discredit the company with a mouth full of sour grapes. Maybe they work for overpriced, horrible pushy salesmen, competitors...See MoreHas anyone heard of Green World Windows and Doors (SoCal area)?
Comments (0)Hello. I've been searching for replacement windows for 1-2 years (and have read many of the threads here) for 3 windows in the master suite (2 bedroom windows, 1 bathroom window). I live in a condo in Los Angelees and have to abide by the HOA rules for a replacement window (and that rules are not unreasonable). I need to get a bronze exterior XO horizontal slider (non-negotiable) and had been hoping to find a dark/black interior frame. The companies that have such a product (esp the black interior frame color) aren't readily available (or available at all) in Los Angeles. I am planning to get a mix of Milgard Tuscany and Trinsic (one window is so large that, in vinyl, only the Tuscany will support an XO slider) w/ 1/8" over 3/16" lites for better sound attenuation (lami might be cost prohibitive and my vendor says that the improvement may be worth the addt'l cost). The vendor recently mentioned that ATS Windows Bellagio Series (http://www.greenworldwindows.com/index.php?s=/index/product/id/152/winordor/1.html) has a black interior frame. No choice in lite thickness, though. The frames look quite ugly to me. Has anyone ever heard of this company? Many thanks....See MoreProvia Windows vs Window World
Comments (9)Miter Brands owns Sunrise, Milgard and MI to my understanding. The Sunrise name is no longer used and has been rebranded under MI in the v4000 and V5000 series. Window World is just an installation company, like me they buy wholesale from whoever they want and do not produce anything. Far as I know the V series and Milgard are still built at thebsame plants on the same extrusions as before and are superior products to Mi. Good or bad this is the nature of the business and will likely be the fate of many more when owners of these smaller companies die or sell out. Kind of like the auto boom ,there were a staggering amount of US auto manufactures and now we got 2....See Moretruth75
