Thank you for posting silverraven! Sarah Richardson is my favorite designer. I'd rather watch any show of hers, even a rerun, than any of the other current HGTV offerings.

I really like Sarah. Sometimes I get a little snarky because I'd love to have to deal with her budget!
I try to never be envious of people who are wealthy....but right now I am watching the "bunkie" episode. I am betting the bunkie the build won't be be a bunch of boards slapped together with a leaking tin roof...LOL
She does make me smile and her assistant and husband are also very charming.
Her asthetic is very similar to mine if I had an island home.
And can't help but love the Canadian accent.

Have you watched Bryan Baeumler's show? Start to finish of him building a summer home on an island for his family. I happened to see the episode where the showed it completed and WOW! There is something likeable about him. He is a spokesman for Lowes like Mike Holmes is for Home Depot.

Yes, you do have an accent, albeit a subtle one. I think it's lovely.

My husband is Toronto born and bred, and is thoroughly Americanized now, but when he goes home, he becomes softer, more clipped, and his syntax changes a little. His sister is still entirely Canadian, eh?

I've always enjoyed watching Sarah Richardson and respect where her drive and abilities have gotten her in life. I must say, though, that she lost me a little during season two of Sarah 101. Something about her wardrobe, her hair, and her comments made her seem more elitist and less engaging than she has seemed in the past. Maybe it was just the editing...

BUMMER! I wish I had been as lucky. I only tripped upon it 1/4 way through the final episode. Oh well I have seen them all several times before. My question; now that Sara has actually LIVED with children would she design their spaces differently? Her "kids rooms" all look so grown up. Her nods to "family life" in common rooms are formal and just not practical (in my life). How do her children like living in mini grown up rooms? Do you suppose motherhood has changed her decorating? I wish she would do another whole house for a growimg family in the burbs, just to see.

I want to live in a town like the one in Corner Gas! Loved that show. It used to be on here on UPN I think at 3 a.m.
