I don't know the full story but just wanted to offer some (((HUGS)))

It is always disappointing when people let us down. :( My mom has a saying that I try to remember (although I am really bad at actually putting it into practice!)

JNM, sorry to hear she's BAAAACK!!!!

I know your sadness, it's heartbreaking. I'm learning to not have ANY expectations for BM. No disappointment. Well, not for me anyways.

My husband called to say goodnight to SD tonight. He had to leave a message. SD called his cell phone while he was in the shower and I answered. We've been having a difficult summer, with her ignoring me most of the time. Well, I told her dad's in the shower but she can call back in ten minutes. She says okay, thanks. I tell her "I love you" and she happily replies "I love you too". So, I go to the shower and tell hubby she's gonna call back in a few minutes. She never called back and as I told DH about her call, it crosses my mind, what if her mom heard her say she loves me? Did she catch heat for that or maybe let her mom think she was talking to her dad so she couldn't call back because she'd have to tell her mom it was me.

I could use some of that wine too.... Some people will never 'get it'!!! ((hugs)) Stay strong!!!

JNM - I totally feel your pain. I thought the same with FSD's BM. She was helping me (all her idea) with a job opportunity. As soon as I refused to do one thing (a huge thing at that), she turned into a lying, scheming control freak. Funny how that happens. So now she just insists on messing little things up here and there either to get back at me for not doing it her way or to maintain control over our home.

So, I've got my pitcher of margaritas and I'm joining the party! I've got a lot of pity to bring! I hope your place is big enough!

Joining the pity party, but for a completely different reason...

For those of you who noticed I was gone for a few days, my Mom just passed away after battling lung cancer. The end was as good as it could have been, but I miss her terribly.

But to be sort of relevent, DS's StepMom sent me a very kind note and even Evil Ex called to express his [sure sounded] genuine condolences. And they allowed DS to come to Grandma's "last supper" (didn't know for sure, but kinda suspected) even though it wasn't my turn to have him.
