So, my hubby finally confronted the ex today.

We drew up papers to change the custody from her being custodial parent and him paying her child support to just plain 50/50 with no child support. He was really relaxed and she seemed very receptive.. she said she would look over the paperwork. Hopefully this will work out.... Keeping my fingers crossed that she is still in a give and take mood...

ie; her boyfriend recked her car with the kids in it (totalled the car) so she has been extra nice as of late...feeling guilty and grateful that my hubby didnt blow a gascket (sp?) ofcourse this was mostly due to me... I had to remind him no one was hurt and with the car totalled and a wonderful thing called gap insurance we no longer have to pay her car payment for a car she was letting her boyfriend drive....

I am being relaxed about this ... not getting my hopes up to high but hopefully it will work out... I mean it is more than fair ...

Sounds like some good things have happened for you. I know, you hate to get your hopes up.

When will the final answer be in from her as to whether or not she accepts the new proposal?

Didn't mean that the accident was a good thing - and thank goodness no one was harmed - but I'm glad you don't have to worry about that car anymore.

I hit 28F early this morning but so far all of the uncovered berry plants look ok. Trailing blackberries were covered up though. Blueberries just started blooming but seem OK. I was worried about my Oauchita blackberries which are 80% leafed out, earlier than the rest of the erect and semi-erect blackberries.

Thanks, I didn't know there was a variegated 'Debbie'. I couldn't think of any since the old 'Empress', but then I'm kind of out of the loop over here, doing my own thing. The only time I get to see what other hybridizers are up to is when I go to a BSI convention, which I haven't done since 2000. Someone on one of the other forums gave me this link about variegation. Basically what you said is true, PenGoff. Once a leaf is formed, the underlying cell structure is not going to change, although I've had weakly-variegated plants that didn't really show the variegation until grown under the right conditions. yeah I know, car accidents are never particularly good.. but in our case since no one was hurt it is great !!! We can afford a new car now :-)

We didnt put a deadline on it but we are going to give her the full weekend to read it over before we ask about it again... I dont know he said she sounded a little suspicious at first but eased up... he talked to the kids a few minutes ago and he said she seemed fine so again hopefully....
