Help!!! I can't make a decision

I have been looking looking to replace my window and have gotten several quotes from different manufacturer. I will appreciate any advise. Thank you in advance:

Because my HOA requires a dark brown color I am limited to fiberglass and aluminum clad windows. I prefer the look of wood. Below are quotes for standard option aluminum clad products. (ALL CASEMENT)

Windows - (2) 8'X4', (2) 4'X4', (1) 3'X3'

Patio Door (3 panel sliders) - (2) 106"X80"

Quotes:

Pella Proline $6,698.20

BuiltBest $7,679.82

Watson $7,912.84

Weathershield $8,103.49

eagle $9,416.13

Kolbe Classic $9,092.26

Kolbe Ultimate $10,388.85

Loewen $13,182.16

I am still waiting on Marvin Windows but the salesman indicated they would be around the price Kolbe Ultimate.

I am leaning toward Weathershield because they seem to be the best value and the salesman has been the most responsive, but the pella windows are $1400 cheaper.

Let me know what you think.

Besides price and quality of window, you have to take into account the reliability and expertise of the installers. That is much harder to figure out. You need to ask around. Don't go with someone that you can't get somebody local to vouch for them.

Hi! We have the Marvin Ultimate clad, mostly casement too. It sounds like you will be mulling 4 casements into one large opening and there are two such mulled units?

If so, the price you have been told sounds real close to our price from 4 years ago, somewhere between Loewen and Kolbe Ultimate.

Ours have worked well for four years so no complaints so far. We are in mild central CA with hot summer sun and unpredictable Winter weather. Not sure what else is of interest to you, so I will stop here.

Jenn, I have the 27" and I love it. We're a family of three. The separate fridge drawers are pretty much taken over by my son's yogurts, apples, carrots, milk boxes, and other snacks. Which is great because it frees up the space in the 700. We also tend to make short shopping trips several times a week, vice one long grocery shop once in awhile. So the smaller fridge totally works for us and there's plenty of space, it's rarely full. But, if you're a once a week shopper you might want to go with the 36" if you have the space. Ivette

LOL on being overwhelmed with decisions! Amazing how many there are. However, you're not done yet. After you pick out the sink material, one bowl or two? how deep? drain left, right, center? positive, negative, or no reveal? location of faucet? grid or no grid? matching or contrasting flange? etc., etc., etc.!!!!! Sorry I'm no help -- also going through the same questions, but think I will go with the Silgranite due to the overwhelming love of them!

The window by the fridge is too big right now but we will be making it smaller so it doesn't interfere with the fridge. Porcelain is a manufactured countertop which is very strong and low maintenance. It is also thin, unlike granite/quartz which is a look I like. The one I like looks a bit like marble but I understand you can get many different looks. It is more expensive than granite. herbflavor - I've looked for inspiration photos but really haven't found anything for a small kitchen that doesn't have an island - other than stillpitpat's photos above. That works. I should say that I have white appliances.

I couldn't fix my granite so I have decided on a few options, I would love any input!! My husband likes the Quartz LG Everest the one on the right. I was thinking about black on the perimeter and one of the white quartz on the island. Any thoughts or new ideas. TIA:) Different angle: I really like this granite as well but it seems my husband might not like the linear style granite it's called Ivory Cream:

I will be installing the windows with a friend of mine. Actually he will be installing and I will be helping. In return I just have to provide beer. But thank you for the response. He has been installing windows for 10 years and I trust him.

The 8'x4' casement window is actually 24" casement 47" picture 24" casement all mulled together.

I have read good things about marvin windows, but the salesman here is not very responsive. I am waiting for another salesman to call me back. Also, I am still not sure that marvin that I would pay an extra $3000 for marvin over weathershield. In the show room their product looked very similar.

Yep, we had similar experience with some Marvin dealers. We went to three dealers, the first two were unresponsive & near insulting. The third one did the trick. I almost abandoned Marvin in favor of some other brands. Not sure why Marvin dealers like to act so. The first two had closed, the third has been in this business for eons, so it shows.

I understand your window configuration now so it may be more expensive than our simple casement units. So that Marvin price range they quote you is quite similar to ours. Surprising that in four years, the price is nearly the same? Marvin must be facing stiff competition.
