It's true that rose blooms do get bigger in their second or third years so this may not be the final size. However, I wouldn't expect the blooms of this one to get huge. Edith's Delight is classed as a miniflora, and that usually means the blooms are supposed to be smaller than average rose bloom size. I'd use this one at the foot of a larger rose that has "bare knees" and they can complement each other. Just a thought. Cynthia

OMG how scary! I hope you get a new roof or your money back.... If it makes you feel any better, I had a guy knock on my door too, claimed I had hail damage. State Farm sent someone and they agreed. My roof only cost 9k, and State Farm covered 7k... I did end up using the guy who knocked on my door and everything turned out fine... But I didn't give him any money upfront.

I tried using Barkeepers Friend (which has oxalic acid listed as an ingredient) on one of the stains. tI did remove the stain, but there is now a bright spot where the stain was. I just wanted to see how well the oxalic acid works, it seems to do a good job. I think and hope that by applying the wood brightener to the entire surface of the deck, the spot should blend in, as the rest of the wood lightens too. After reading so much about deck stains, I don't want to have to use a solid stain if possible, I'd prefer a semi transparent so the stains/bright spots need to go. Is the sodium percarbonate better than the oxalic acid? If possible, I'd prefer to use whatever is less harmful to the surrounding grass, plants and bushes.

Water does not "seep in" from properly installed windows. Which means if the windows require flashing/caulking repair on the exterior of this building, the new window attempt will fail. There is a HUGE difference between replacement windows, and new construction windows, the least of which is less glass on the replacement. If you have installed replacement windows into the ( pre existing) old and failing frames of an aging building, or WHO knows what, the wet/damp issue will not be solved. For all you know there is an issue with windows in the building that needs to be addressed at the exterior. Does anyone else in the building have a "wet" problem at the window area? You are asking us why the help doesn't show up, why a project that should have taken two month is taking six months. You're asking was the drywall patched or replaced, and how could we know? We still don't even know what the entire scope of the 8 week work was, was anything successfully completed. All we know is you still owe the GC ten k and he owes you the finish to completion .......and your satisfaction. You aren't home all day, you go to work so the one thing we DO know is you aren't suffering agoraphobia. You ARE suffering a fear of asking the only people who can answer the questions and that would be the still way behind GC and whoever patched or replaced windows and drywall, be that the GC or one of his subs. Also....might be time to talk to some neighbors.
